Stay in our guest bedroom with a queen futon sofa bed, in an 1874 house. This quiet street is 10 minutes walk from Brown and RISD, 15 minutes from the train station, & 20 minutes from downtown. Private bath. 1 off street parking spot is included.

The space

This is a guest bedroom in the home of a couple, their daughter and their cats. The house is a two family house built in 1874, and the hosts live on the upper floors. The guest room is on the second floor, with a view over the back yard, and glimpse of the RI State House. The bathroom is for the use of the guests, (except that it also has the house laundry).

This is a great location to stay if you want to get a feel for RI. Peter was great and even had pastries for us for breakfast and home ground coffee. Very friendly and very quaint Victorian home!

The house is in a perfect location for exploring the city. It is in a quiet area but so close to everything (Museum, University, river, etc). We really appreciated the scones and coffee, and Peter is a great conversationalist. We also were there for FireWater which was very, very good. Great stay. And the cats are very friendly.

Response from Peter:
I said not to mention the scones! (I don't always make them)

This is exactly what you want from any Airbnb stay -- excellent, clean and spacious room, friendly host who goes out of his way to inform you for your trip, and within walking distance of the heart of the city. Peter treats his hosting responsibilities like a pro. He even has maps of suggested places ready for you!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Peter's house, and it was very welcoming, warm and cozy. His two cats, Luigi & Sascha were so friendly and sweet, and it was so much fun to spend time with them every night. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was very impressive to see his thoughtful care for airbnb guests since the room has TV, DVD & CD players and a wide range of DVDs and CDs. It almost felt like staying at my friend's house when we were watching movies before going to bed. Furthermore, it was very inspiring to stay at his house filled with great artworks, drawings and pictures. I really appreciate all his help and care while we were staying, and won't forget about the morning coffee Peter prepared for us.
