This adorable 2 bedroom bungalow is located in the hamlet of Waupoos and is within walking distance to a winery, restaurants and cider company! A short walk down a grassy field takes you to our private waterfront with a sandy and rocky shore and muskoka chairs for your own little slice of county heaven. 15 min. to the heart of Picton!

Prince Edward County holds a special place in my heart, as a 7th generation “county descendant”, my roots here are deep. We are excited to share our home with you. We can recommend our favorite spots, including the County Cider Co. which is a 3 min walk from the house!

The house is a cute 2 bedroom bungalow decorated in a cozy mid-century modern farmhouse look. An oversized window from the living area looks over the sprawling landscape down to the water. Walking out onto the large deck that spans the back of the house allows for outside dining, relaxing and cooking on the BBQ. A firepit in the backyard with muskoka chairs await you ready to roast marshmallows under the stars. The backyard is also equipped with an adorable children’s play structure surrounding a large tree with a tiny climbing wall and slide!

Walk down the field to our private waterfront with a dock and muskoka chairs for your own little slice of county heaven. Known as one of the best shorelines of the county! Don’t forget your fishing gear for your chance to snag some small and largemouth bass!

The house sleeps 4 comfortably with two bedrooms, but there is also a queen size pullout sofa with memory foam, and a hotel cot (lay flat bed) available in the master bedroom which can sleep extra guests or children (at an extra cost- please inquire).

A fully equipped kitchen provides basic cooking amenities allowing you to stock up at the farm market down the road (don’t forget the fresh eggs!) in order to make your family favourites. Some small appliances like an Instant Pot, food processor and breadmaker are available at your disposal and of course there’s a coffee maker and kettle to get your mornings started (coffee and tea provided)!

Overall our home is very welcoming, bright, clean and relaxing in an ideal location.

An agricultural hamlet, the winding roads through Waupoos will pass through not only vineyards, but sunflower fields, apple orchards and the well known organic blueberry farm.

Our home is in walking distance (3 min) to The County Cider Company, with picnic tables and a pizza oven overlooking the lake. A 10 minute walk takes you to Waupoos Estate Winery including their beautiful farm to table restaurant by the lake. Four other wineries are within biking or driving distance. 5km down the road is the Waupoos Pub with local selections of beer, wine and delicious pub food (our usual hangout spot!).

We are obsessed with butter tarts, and a visit to Sunnydale Farm Stand can’t be missed which also has local organic beef, fresh eggs and small batch flavoured popcorn! Creasy’s Appledabble Farm just down the road grows many fruits and veggies and have the best Macintosh apples in the county! Cladfeld’s carries light grocery items, coffee and various treats as well as cider-be sure to visit their cute petting zoo with the kids!

Since I was a child every weekend we’d make a stop at Black River Cheese Company to pick up fresh cheese curd and soft serve ice cream- a little gem we share with you! If you like cheese, another spot to check out down the road is Fifth Town Artisan Cheese featuring goat and sheep cheeses, including imported Italian treats and to die-for gelatos.

Also note that Waupoos Marina is just under 4km from the house and offers a deep water harbour where you can dock on a daily basis!
