This experience, house and town were simply charming. The house was impeccably clean (which is very important to me), the space very comfortable and the walk to town short and scenic. The cottage is well represented on Air BB and if anything they under-promised and over-delivered. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this space to others.

Great cottage for two couples. Pleasant walk to theaters and the place itself was absolutely the most charming home we have ever rented. The back yard was peaceful and a delight to the eye. Can't say enough good about it!

My sister and I had stayed at Terra Cotta Inn, the second unit on Mark & Elizabeth's property, in October 2016. I loved it so much I wanted to return with my husband, and we did on 9/20/17. This time we rented the High Street Cottage. We have stayed at Airbnbs around the world, and many have been outstanding, but this property tops them all. Mark & Elizabeth's creativity and attention to detail shines through EVERYWHERE! The pictures of this site don't do it justice. Whether you are inside one of the two units, or outside, enjoying the grounds, you will be astounded by how Elizabeth & Mark seem to have thought of everything you might need, from kitchen items (this is the first place I've stayed that had a salad spinner!) to books (this is a literate couple and they have shared their wonderful collection of art and other books with their residents). Ashland's weather was cooler than we had hoped, but we still managed to sit on the glorious wooden deck that Mark built where we had lunch and dinner. Everywhere we looked there was something to delight the eye. They really have created a little paradise in Ashland.

I stayed here with my husband and parents for a long weekend trip to the Shakespeare festival. We were absolutely delighted with the accommodations. The outside areas were so relaxing and there was a clear craftsmanship and attention to detail in everything. The air conditioning was a godsend, as high temperatures topped 100 degrees each day. It was about a 15 minute walk to the theaters, which was manageable even in the heat. We are already planning our trip back next year!

We loved our stay in this cozy cottage. Mark and Elizabeth have created a welcoming, hospitable, comfortable space. The back yard is a spectacular deck with lush garden beds, comfortable seating, a padded hammock, and koi pond. It is an easy 1/2 mile walk to our favorite taco place (Agave), and only a few blocks more to Oregon Shakespeare Festival theaters. We would definitely stay here again.

We want to thank Mark and Elizabeth for creating such a comfortable and inviting environment. They have, obviously, tried to think of everything their guests might need and are very accessible and friendly. The backyard is a paradise. We have already reserved for 2018 and 2019 as we can't imagine finding a more delightful place to stay while in Ashland.

This place was amazing and had more than we could have asked for. Elizabeth was so amazing from the moment we got there. They thought of everything, the place is beautiful and the pottery, art and personal touches were all stunning.. We met Mark the last day and he was so friendly. It was a great stay!

Mark and Elizabeth Schoenleber are artists (sculpture, pottery, drawing and painting) Mark has been teaching art at Ashland High School since 1983 and Elizabeth has been creating beautiful hand thrown stoneware pottery since 1988. After the favorable response from guests in our Terra Cottage Inn we decided to create a traveler's accommodation from our home of twenty years (2007). The High Street Cottage is a lovingly refurbished 1931 cottage that is tastefully decorated with just enough modern touches to make your stay comfortable and memorable. beyond the 'park and walk to everything' location... the High Street Cottage sits on a great piece of property. Koi pond, Gardens (flowers, herbs, salad and vegetables), decks and patios to relax and enjoy your stay a great laundry facility and a full outdoor kitchen. At the center of the property are our art studios and too many great amenities to list.
