Beautiful newer ocean front home in Craig Alaska. Stunning views. See photos.

The space
At high tide you feel as if you are in a boat, less the rocking n rolling. The water comes right up to the sea wall less than ten feet from the living room and master bath. Low tide you can walk on the shore line looking for sea treasures. Your sure to see bald eagles soaring in front of the property. Likely whales spouting out front, maybe a deer swimming across the channel or a bear on the far shore fishing. A short walk to the grocery, post office, and dinning. Car rental or taxi also available. Beautiful walking/running/biking trails from the end of the driveway all the way to the end off the point! (approx 2 miles)

What ever you want however you want it. Let us know and we will make it happen. Whether your here on an eco tour, fishing, business, or winter hunting we will link you up with the best guides we know and be sure your expectations are well met. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Where you’ll be

Craig, Alaska, United States

Located in the small city of Craig Alaska. After spending time throughout coastal Alaska this is the place our family choose to call home. Craig is a special city on a special island. The people are as amazing and unique as the wilderness. The fishing, eco tours, hiking, and hunting are all world class. Craig is the largest city on the island of Prince of Wales in South East Alaska. It has several great restaurants (even pizza delivery, a couple bars, two banks, post office, medical clinics, dentist, several outfitter stores, hardware store, vehicle rentals. There are several churches with in walking distance. There is a brand new park directly behind the property. If you have young kids they are sure to spend a lot of time there on the swings, slides, etc. Craig has a few great trails right in the city. The island has countless trails and hundreds of roads to travel. I have a friendly dog and live in a separate building. The entire house is yours. Attached car port.

Born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. As an adult I have lived in San Diego, Humboldt County, Mexico, Sitka and Craig Alaska. Recently I have been tasked with managing/renting the new family home here in Craig. Two years ago we chose this island because of its uniqueness in that it is only a short one hour 45 minute flight from Seattle to nearby Ketchikan. After you take the ferry or half hour float plane ride to Prince of Wales island you know you are someplace special yet it’s only been such a short trip. This was important to our family as many of them live and work in the lower 48 and travel time matters. For me I am lucky to live and work here year round and excited to share this home with travelers and families in the years to come. I have been a commercial fisherman in Alaska for the last 12 years. Mostly as a troller out of Sitka. I have also spent several seasons winter dungee crabbing out of Sitka. As well as two seasons seine net fishing out of Prince William Sound. I love Alaska for many reasons the first two that come to mind are: One, the people....whether it be homesteaders, life long residents, transplants, or visitors. I am continually amazed and enriched by the caliber of folks I have met, worked with, and gone on adventures with here in Ak. Second, the nature.... every day is beautiful here. It may not always be sunny (although odds are in your favor in the summer months) but it is always beautiful. In the winter the sun rises and sunsets seem to last forever. You will see this beautiful orange sky for hours each day. Then sometimes it will rain for days and the hills come alive with waterfalls. When the snow comes the deer are everywhere. The mountain tops painted with fresh white snow. If you are hunting with your camera or for winter food you are likely to have success. Then in the summer the fishing here is second to none. The trails, forest service cabins, inland streams, rivers, and lakes on our island are unlike any other. Our eco tour, wilderness, and fishing guides are world class. The list goes on and on. I’m sure you’ll find your own reasons to love it here in South East Alaska too.
