This comfortable double room has beautiful views out over Miserden. It is the ideal base from which to explore the Cotswolds or visit Cheltenham and its Festivals. Great pub in the village serving good food, reopening mid-July after a fire.

The space

A large double bed, with an additional single bed if required, in this spacious and beautifully appointed room with magnificent views. Extra mattress available and twin room for parties of more than 3 or 4. Our family house is set in the heart of the quintessential Cotswold village of Miserden, recently used as the setting for the BBC dramatisation of "Cider with Rosie".

Guest access

You will have your own bedroom and bathroom (and extra twin room if required) and sole use of our drawing room with open fire and grand piano! Sit in the garden and take in the beautiful views or walk through the park on your doorstep.

Interaction with guests

We will be here during your stay to give you all the advice and recommendations you should need. We have a busy family schedule with 4 children and work. You are welcome to come and go as you please after initial check in. A light breakfast is provided but we may not always be around to serve it!

Other things to note

There is a full size, deep bath and plenty of hot water but no shower.
Our kitchen is the centre of our family life and so I am afraid is not available for your use. We will however happily warm up or store food for you.

It was a lovely experience staying at Billy's. Miserden is a little gem far from the well worn Cotswold tourist trails. We felt very welcome by the family. The rooms are really cosy, with lovely views. Nice little breakfast the next morning at the kitchen table chatting up with Billy. Really hospitable folks. We had a great time exploring the area around the village and the kids loved looking at the animals and playing on the trampoline and looking at the animals. Make sure you hop across the road to Carpenter's Arms too. Run by a very kind couple. It was Monday night poker, so it was fun watching the game from a distance ! Even though we'd had an early dinner, us and the kids enjoyed sitting until closing time with a bowl of soup, some hot chocolate and books. In all, a fantastic experience and a highly recommended stay.

Thank you Billy and Hamish for hosting us - we had a memorable stay. Your House, the magical landcsape from ‘the room with a view’ the pub, church, friendly unpretentious village locals the light morning mist (that was pure luck!) gave us what can only be described as the quintessential English country experience – timeless, good-as-gold-honest.

Fantastic house, lovely warm inviting environment and even a beautiful dog too keep you company. The beds were comfortable, picturesque village, beautiful home and a shop and pub walking distance from house. Traveling to the house is probably best with a car . Excellent stay and hopefully will have the chance too return

Billy and Hamish were very welcoming hosts and have a lovely home in beautiful countryside. Our visit was very brief - just overnight, en route to Bikepark417 - but we would definitely stay again.
