Where you’ll be

Recherche, Tasmania, Australia

The shack is only a one minute walk from the beach (across the road) or through the back yard you can access the creek. There are many attractions on the trip down including an approx. 30 minutes drive to Hastings Caves where you can swim in their thermal pool or take a tour through the caves, Tahune air walk is also on the trip down just past Huonville, or enjoy a delicious meal at the nearby town Southport where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Take a train ride on the Ida Bay Train and enjoy the local café.

You’ll enjoy a simple stroll along the beach and the beauty of it’s remoteness. The real attraction of Cockle Creek is the South East Cape track where you can enjoy breathtaking cliff top views, or Fishers Point Navigation light and Pilot station ruins track. Cockle Creek really is a bush walkers haven and a fisherman's dream with it being the perfect spot for Cray Fish and flathead fishing.
