Upper Belmont is a beautiful upper villa with stunning views of the round towered Church at the heart of the village, and out over the hills. With a multi-fuel stove in the spacious lounge to warm yourself at the end of a relaxing day.

Upper Belmont is located in the quiet village of Cockburnspath (Copath), in the Scottish Borders. With off road parking for guests for one car and its own private and secluded garden.

The space
This was the picturesque village in the Scottish Borders, famed by Glasgow Boys group of painters. Who would escape the riggers of city life for the quiet tranquility and beautiful light of the Scottish Borders.

The living room has a wood and coal burning stove, with a back boiler to heat radiators throughout the property. The hot water can be heated by the wood/coal burning stove (whilst the fire is lit), or via a hot water switch (located in the kitchen). There is also a built in corner nook in one corner of the living room, with a dining table and seating for six. A 43 inch flat screen 4K television, Sky tv, with movies package, all regions Blu Ray player and DVD player, and free WiFi. With one two seater sofa (which converts into a sofa-bed) and one three seat sofa.
The living room has stunning views of the round Church tower at the heart of the village and onto the rolling hills of the beautiful borders countryside.

The kitchen is in a traditional cottage style, with Belfast sink, slate tiled floor, and electric hob and oven. There is a washing machine and dryer and also a dishwasher. And a large fridge/freezer. There is traditional wood cladding on one wall and a comb ceiling. The kitchen has lovely views over the rear gardens.

The rear bedroom has a zip and link king size bed, an ornamental cast iron fireplace, writing desk and chair, clothes rail. With views over the rear gardens. This bed can be converted into two singles if required.

The front bedroom has a zip and link double bed (which can be converted into two singles if required), an ornamental fireplace, clothes rail and vanity table with chair and mirror. With views to the front of the property and the Church.

The property has double glazing throughout. There are also traditional styled electric radiators, (with timers); in both bedrooms and the lounge, so that on colder summer days you don't have to light the fire.

The bathroom has a freestanding bath and large shower (refurbished from an old coal cupboard). Two imitation lanterns (with LED LIGHTS) hang on the wall. Combined with the bathrooms dimmer switch, you can have a relaxing bath, with the control to set just the right level of light for your mood. Framed maps and historic postcards of the local area, adorn the walls. A driftwood shelf over the sink and large porthole mirror, set the nautical style off perfectly.

The garden has a cobled stone pathway, picnic table and bench, with planted flower beds and a small lawn. It is the perfect place to relax and watch the numerous birds flit from place to place. Brown owls can often be seen come dusk.

The Copath Community Shop is now open. Only a few minutes walk away from the apartment: Selling groceries, newspapers, magazines, food, household items etc.
There is also another smaller shop at Pease Bay, and is only a ten minute drive away.
There is an ASDA superstore in Dunbar, only a ten minute drive along the A1. The ASDA also does grocery home deliveries to Upper Belmont.

The property is only a forty five minute drive from Edinburgh and accessible via bus and rail routes. It sits at the heart of an historic village; with Scotland's only round towered Church at its epicentre. Surrounded by numerous walking and cycling routes and only a short walk through the countryside to the magestic, secluded beach of Cove (accessible through an old smugglers tunnel), and is only a 25 minutes walk away. With Pease Bay a little further along the coast, with its great surfing. And a variety of Golf courses right on your doorstep as well as the Southern Upland Way.
