Upscale neighborhood near bookstore, cafe, trails. Minutes from UNC campus, Carrboro & Franklin Street. Durham/Duke easy 20 min. drive. Coffee maker w/pods, mini-fridge, microwave. Near free bus line. Inside stairwell has pet gate and curtain for privacy, tho our cat Daisy may visit! Guests from all backgrounds welcome!

The space
Private entrance off patio opens directly into the garden. You're welcome to make a cozy fire in the fire circle. The bedrooms are spacious: Bedroom #1 has a sitting area & screened off bed; Bedroom #2 doubles as a library, with bookshelves, desk, and imported antiques. Visitors to UNC especially welcome!

We have the best of both worlds: we live in a woodsy in-town neighborhood just off MLK Blvd., half a block from the Chapel Hill police station and a five-minute walk to restaurants (Root Cellar, Lucha Tigre, Hunam Garden) and bookstore (Flyleaf).

I'm a university professor specializing in American Literature and medical humanities. Needless to say I love to read & talk about books. I'm an avid tv watcher -- faves include Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights, Atlanta, British detective shows, UNC basketball. I enjoy walking our dog Bowie on nearby trails, gardening with my husband Hawley, playing cards and tennis, and sipping an ice cold martini :-)
