Great location

Edale Loft is a large studio space within a traditional 1850's Edale gritstone house, Peak District. Can be a double / family / friends. Includes private lounge & ensuite. Views of Kinder Scout, exposed beams, a quiet location. The house is at the 'official start' of the Pennine Way, among a cluster of cottages of similar age. Log fires, antique furniture, paintings, William Morris, mature garden with Amdega Summer House, AGA cooked breakfasts, private parking, Wifi.

The space
Edale Loft comprises the entire top floor of the house and is your own private studio space.

From Edale Loft there are unbeatable Peak District views in every direction; Kinder Scout, Lose Hill, Mam Tor and Grindslow Knoll.

The house is elevated within the village giving beautiful, unspoilt views of green fields and dry stone walls in a tranquil landscape. Officially, the famous Pennine Way starts at the bottom of our lane.

The double bedroom space includes a caste iron antique brass bed with dresser, exposed King Truss and views onto 'the back field' including the old cruck barn, sheep, Kinder Scout and Grindslow Knoll.

The adjoining living space / lounge comprises TV, colonial Singaporean furniture from when Angela and Terry lived and worked abroad in South East Asia. It has a real, rustic ''Swiss Chalet'' feel taken from Angela's working life in Switzerland.

The living space leads onto the single bedroom. It comprises a traditional oak bed, Victorian rocking horse and stunning Kinder Scout views.

There is an ensuite bathroom. You can sit in the Victorian 'roll top' bath and look out onto splendid views. There's an antique brass towel rail and vanity unit.

The whole space is lit with three, large Tiffany lamps. It has stripped timber floors, exposed beams and stunning feature 'King Truss'.

In the morning, enjoy a full English Breakfast, cooked on our AGA in our William Morris style dining room. The dining room has views through large traditional timber sash windows onto the garden and Amdega Summer House. There is a log burning stove in the dining room with paintings and antique furniture that we've collected over the years.

The garden to the main house has been landscaped with boxed hedges and lawns at different levels. It has Victorian statues, a fountain, and patio area with Singaporean Dragon Pots and Victorian Urn.

This can be a double or a family / friends space: sleeping up to 4 comfortably (for an extra supplement). There is a double bed and a single bed so the studio can also work as a twin. There is an American day bed as a sofa which has a mattress that can be another single.
