Old Town Garden Suite, Basalt

Entire guest suite hosted by Melissa
3 guests1 bedroom2 beds1 bathroom
This charming apartment is situated in the heart of Old Town, Basalt, just one block above the center of town. It has a private patio and garden and is steps away from Basalt's restaurants, shopping, galleries and the world class Frying Pan River. Our two town bikes make it easy to grab fresh provisions at Skips Market, a farm store down the street with local produce, eggs and cheeses. The RFTA bus stop is downtown for easy transit to Aspen and the surrounding area.

The space
Our garden apartment has a private entrance and enclosed garden and patio for your enjoyment. The space has light wood floors and calm aesthetics. Our appliances are vintage and the bath is an original claw foot tub. The laundry is Miele and our linens are 100% Indian cotton. The queen bed has a feather top and down duvet as well as 100% down pillows. We also have a down alternative if requested. The apartment is best suited for two guests in the bedroom but we also have a twin daybed in the sunroom that is available for one guest at an additional $25 charge per night. We want to know if you are bringing small children too. It adds to the cleaning up and so we charge an additional charge of $25/night for the wee ones. We love the littles but they sure know how to make their mark.

Basalt, Colorado, United States

Old Town is one block above town and is considered special for it's friendly neighbors and eclectic feel. People walk their dogs and know each other and there is a famous Pop and Son barber at the end of the street working out of a tiny wooden shack. It is first come first serve and there is always a wait.

I came to the Roaring Fork Valley over twenty years ago to work in the adventure film business. I fell in love with the mountains and eventually became an expedition photographer for The North Face shooting ski adventures around the world and travel stories. I needed somewhere to store my stuff and bought a home in Basalt as my base. Basalt officially become my true home when I decided to start a family and now I am more grateful than ever to live in this valley of natural beauty and spaciousness.
