The space
This Georgetown Federal Home has three floors and the owner has lived here for 34 years. The landscaped garden and deck are pleasant in all seasons. Owner is a retired academic and lives in the house. Non smokers please one person only.

Your bedroom is a Private furnished room and private full bath. Your Bed is a memory foam of medium hard foam with top second mattress for lumbar comfort. Your space is really the whole house to enjoy. You will have your own key to the house. There are plenty of spaces to work on your laptop throughout the house. Your bedroom has a Northern exposure. Use the iron and board, find shampoos/conditioners and soaps. Wifi and cable television available. Quiet home and neighborhood best for students and professionals. Enjoy the garden and deck where many birds chirp and woodpeckers peck. My home is on the bird migration route.
Minimum two nights stay and maximum seven nights. Parking is available but let me know your license plate number for a permit.

Central to restaurants, museums, and universities. Bus lines run frequently. Upper Georgetown/Burleith neighborhoods are full of cultural activity. The National Cathedral, Georgetown Univ. the Phillips Collection and Corcoran Gallery, are in walking distance. The Smithsonian museums are a 15 minute bus ride. The Studio Theater and the Wolly Mammoth Theater are close by. There are two landscaped parks 2 minutes away: Montrose and Dumbarton Oaks. The closest metros are Dupont and Foggy Bottom. The Georgetown Waterfront is beautiful on the Potomac and there are biking as well as hiking along the river. Ethnic restaurants abound: Shanghai Lounge, Divan, Bistrot Lepic, Heritage Indian, and much more. Join me !

Burleith Hill was the home of Colonel Burleith in the 1800s and now is home to professionals, academics, and students. I live in a fabulous neighborhood for walking as rock creek park is nearby and from there one can walk 25 miles around Washington DC and connect to Dupont foggy bottom and Bethesda. In addition, we have the Georgetown University library, the Georgetown public library, and we have a famous Dumbarton Oaks gardens and museum. The letter was the place where Roosevelt Churchhill and Stahelin met your strategize against Hitler. We are noted to be the most highly rated neighborhood of Washington DC because of the famous people who live here, political people and entertainment people.

I taught Italian Studies to college students for 30 years and also fund raised for underprivileged children. Now I am retired, early, to enjoy a life of painting and writing. I live alone and enjoy curious minds so I have many friends world wide of all ages. I bike and garden avidly and also love to cook. Breakfast at my place is always organic, healthy and plentiful....Italian style
