A campground located in the heart of Yercaud town. An oasis of tranquility and bliss in the midst of hustle, bustle and organised chaos of Yercaud town. Located between the bus stand and the lake, the campground offers ground space for tent accommodation with common indoor/ outdoor, hygienic bathrooms and electrical charging facilities. Campers can experience an unique balance between the convenience of being in the heart of town and camping in the wilderness.

The space
The stark contrast between the length of the town on all four sides and the stars above the trees is a sight to behold. All you need is a tent, sleeping bags and your spirit of adventure to experience this unique concept on a 9 acre property. The camp kitchen and dining verandah are located about 200 meters from the hostel homestay and campsites alongside the Cauvery Peak Coffee Shop. Guests are advised to bring warm, weather protection clothing, torch light/ lanterns, soap and towel.

Supporting ecotourism is a bold, concrete and decisive step towards leaving a small carbon footprint on the fragile environment. We encourage you to bring your children and pets. Ideal holiday to introduce children to the concept of preserving, conserving and appreciating the environment. Lakeview village has a two acre block set aside exclusively to nurture the local species of Shola trees, surrounding a water body. The village is dotted with exotic and native species of trees and plants to provide the ambience of a arboretum. The trees attract various species of birds and serves as the lungs of the growing Yercaud town.

Guest access
Views from the property include a portion of the Yercaud lake, Shevaroys Peak and Saddle Back Hill in the North East. Botanical garden, Murugan Temple and Yercaud town in the West. The periphery of the private village serves as a jogging, trekking, bicycling, 4 x 4 and dirt bike track covering approximately 1.4 kilometers. The village also offers ample parking space and is fully fenced for safety.

Common lounge alongside the camp dining verandah is available with a Chess set, carrom board, darts and UNO. Basketball, football and cricket equipment are available for rent. Campfire can be arranged on request and payment of charges. A parallel bar and pull up bar are available alongside the multipurpose track for complimentary use of guest. An outdoor amphitheatre and an open to sky, level surface for Yoga is also located in the heart of the property.

Other things to note
Lakeview Village is ideal for large groups of people, solo travelers looking for a silent yet active getaway and families who would like to introduce children to a camp lifestyle. Lake view village is ideal for an active outdoorsy weekend, playing sports, nature appreciation, adventure and unwinding with a campfire

Lakeview village has been conceptualized by fourth and fifth generation members of MSP Plantations, a coffee plantation family of the Shevaroys who would like to preserve the pristine Yercaud town of the past. The mindless exploitation of Yercaud town can be contained with this concept of balancing commercial interests and preservation of the fragile environment. This is a unique opportunity for adventure tourists to enjoy the salubrious climate of the Shevaroys and at the same time contribute to preserving the local ecosystem and prevent it from being turned into a concrete jungle.
