Set in the heart of medieval Carlingford, Co. Louth, The Baby House @ Wood Quay provides a unique and charming accommodation experience – it has the best of both worlds being right on the sea but in the heart of the village!
The property comprises of an open plan ground floor of kitchen & living area with a small bathroom with shower, the whole room has floor to ceiling views of the lough. There is a LOW CEILING mezzanine floor that is accessed via a LADDER with two futon beds for 2 people.

The space
Now a popular accommodation experience, the location of the Baby House, Wood Quay was originally a grain store for Carlingford railway station. Built in 1840, it has been sensitively restored using exclusively salvage materials that enhance the buildings character & history.

Carlingford is a town on the Cooley Peninsula, between the waters of Carlingford Lough and the mountain of Slieve Foye, in the northeast of Ireland. It’s known for its oyster farms, medieval buildings and outdoor activities. The 12th-century King John’s Castle overlooks the harbour. Taaffe’s Castle is a 16th-century tower house. Carlingford Heritage Centre, in a medieval church, has displays on local history.
