Located at the end of a cul de sac on a quiet street, this idyllic retreat will instantly make you feel like you're on vacation. The home features three levels of living space with an open floor plan and cathedral ceilings on the upper floor, and a spacious deck.

Renters are entitled to use the amenities at the nearby Quechee Club for a discounted daily or weekly rate. The Club has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis and squash courts, a full fitness center and a sauna.

The space
On the first floor, there are two large bedrooms, a full bathroom with shower and tub as well as a sitting room with a sofa and a table with chairs. One of the two bedrooms on the first floor has a full-size bed while the other has a bunk bed with a full-size mattress on the bottom and a twin mattress on top.

The stairs lead to the upper floor, which feature hardwood flooring and consists of a large bedroom, full bath with shower and bathtub, and a modern kitchen, which overlooks the dining area and family room. The upper bedroom features a queen-size mattress, dresser and a generous closet (just like the other bedrooms downstairs). The kitchen has all modern amenities including a full stove and oven, full-size refrigerator, food processor, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker and a dishwasher. It is equipped with pots and pans, dishware and utensils and has lots of counter space. The dining table accommodates six diners comfortably and opens out to the family room. The family room features two leather sofas (one of which converts into a bed) which face the beautiful wood-burning fireplace and flatscreen TV mounted directly above it. The TV has expanded cable service (most channels except for premium movie channels) and has a Blu-ray DVD player. The house also has high speed internet and Wifi service for portable electronic devices.

At the front side of the family room, a staircase leads up to the loft, a cozy room which overlooks the entire upper level and contains a full-size mattress and a recliner to relax with a good book. From the rear of the family room, a sliding door takes you to the expansive outdoor deck, which features sweeping outdoor views as well as a Weber gas grill, a large dining table with eight chairs and an additional two Adirondack chairs for lounging or enjoying a drink. There is also an outdoor fireplace for when the weather gets chilly.

Linens are provided and there is a full-size washer and dryer if you need it.

This house and the Quechee area truly offers something for everyone.

Where you’ll be

Hartford, Vermont, United States

Just a two hour drive from Boston or a four hour drive from the New York City area, Quechee is beautiful all year-round with distinctive offerings for each season. Quechee is a classic, picturesque small town in Vermont with numerous attractions, outdoor activities and restaurants, including the renowned Quechee Gorge, Quechee Ski Hill, Simon Pearce glassblowing and family-friendly Lake Pinneo. In-town restaurants include Simon Pearce, Parker House Inn and the Quechee Inn.

While the Quechee Ski Hill boasts family-friendly downhill skiing trails, those looking for more challenging slopes and more rugged terrain will find it just a short drive away at Killington, Pico, Suicide Six, Sugarbush and Mad River Glen, to name a few.

During the milder months, there are numerous swimming holes and lakes for canoeing and kayaking to explore and enjoy as well as nearby hiking and biking trails. Wilderness Trails, located by the Quechee Inn, offers canoe, kayak and bike rentals, instruction and guided tours.

If you decide to venture outside the town limits, Woodstock is about six miles to the west on Route 4 and offers many shops, boutiques and restaurants. Meanwhile, Dartmouth College and its beautiful campus is about a fifteen minute drive. If you go there, be sure to stop in at Murphy's for one of their legendary burgers or other upscale pub fare.

With so much to offer, one thing you will not be in Quechee is bored.
