Where you’ll be

Headcorn, England, United Kingdom

Lovely bustling wealdean village with full amenities, 2 pubs, butcher, Baker, Sainsbury’s local, Indian restaurant, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop, and plenty of other shops all within a short walk: Playground and playing fields and country walks. Very Popular area for cycling, golf, walking etc. Things nearby it’s best to book in advance: spitfire flights, tandem parachute, helicopter rides, balloon rides etc from Headcorn airfield (you will see spitfires and hurricanes flying most clear days). Headcorn Big cat sanctuary, only open to public on open days but you can book private tours and events, they have everything from lion prides to snow leopards. Kent and East Sussex railway specials- events like Thomas the tank engine and real ale trains.
Superb pubs dotted around, beautiful towns and villages like Smarden and Tenterden close by. All Kent coast is 45mins to 1 hour drive including rye, camber sands, Whitstable etc. Trains to Canterbury, sandwich, deal and Margate. Gardens, homes and castles such as sissinghurst, dixter, bodian castle, smallhythe etc. Hire cycles at bedgebury. Local Fetes fairs and country shows most weekends all spring and summer...and some of the best weather in the uk on the low Weald- rain from the north and Atlantic tends to not make it down here,we spend all our time here entertaining friends and family in the garden, and most guests so far seem to enjoy just spending time at the house eating and drinking! Being 1 hour direct from London we get plenty of day and overnight visitors throughout the year. Feel free to invite friends from London to join you for the day during your stay. Babysitting can be arranged. Please message for any other questions or requirements.

Spend my time between Kent and wales. The house was our family home but we now run it as a holiday home perfect for family celebrations and weekends away from London. We price the house as low as we can as we want people to use it and enjoy it and have a great time. We regularly use Airbnb ourselves so we have a good idea of what makes a good holiday home and try to provide just that, and we also know that making sure people feel they have got a great deal is important and adds to the enjoyment of your stay.
