Hi Syed, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. All do is it true that the apartment is in an older building ( 35 years old), we believe it to be well kept and almost all the other guest we've had seem to think the same. The apartment is in Laval, which is a suburb of Montreal. However, the trip to downtown Montreal is around 30 minutes thanks to subway station located at a 5 min walk from the apartment. (all the above stated in the add, of course!) Regarding the living room light issue, you don’t seem to remember that as soon as you told us this was an issue for you, we provided you with a lamp and you didn’t complaint afterwards, so we believed you to be satisfied. Also, might I add, we’ve had almost 20 guests a you’re the first one to complain about this. I also have my other 15 tenants who live year long in the building who do not have an issue with this knowing than there are lights in the dining room and halls ways which are extremely close to the living room and when lighted, they illuminate the whole place!! Nevertheless, as soon as you raised this issue, we found a solution for it and I find you to be very hypocrite not disclose this part. Also, I understand that there are better locations and better apartments/hotels but for the reasonable price of 45.00$ a night for four guests, 2 bedrooms and a hole apartment with parking! I believe this is actually very very reasonable. I understand that maybe you can’t afford a pricy place, however you need to adjust your expectations and understand that you didn’t book a brand-new condo in downtown Montreal or fancy hotel, the service would have had would have been completely different in that case but the price as well. My advice to you is to think on spending quite more if you expect to have 5-star accommodation. If you can’t, which is most probably the case since you book my place, I’m sorry to say that this is as good as it gests for the price you can pay. Finally, I want to clarify that I’m not bilingual, I actually speak 3 languages (Spanish, French and Portuguese) but it is true that my English in less than fluent but I get by. And I case it’s ever needed, my soon is only a call away so he can assist our English-speaking guest. Or do I need to recall you that when we couldn’t communicate, I had my son call you from overseas and you didn’t even wait 5 minutes for his call! I believe your review shows your bad faith, commenting on your experience and leaving half of the story out doesn’t make a good review and I think it says more on the kind of person you are than it says on me or my place. Hi Marcin, I am sorry that your child got sick and you couldn't travel. However you notified us the same day you were supposed to checking in and after 3pm. Also the apartment remained empty during the days you were supposed to stay, if it would have been rented I could be able to refund the amount you paid, but since it was very last minute, we couldn't find anyone to take your place.
