The space
Guests say:

"I wish I had known it's so good, I would have booked longer", "Can I book again for our return trip?", "best night sleep ever", "great shower!", "thanks for looking after us so well", "wow", "now I see why you're fully booked!"

Neat and bright.
An updated kiwi "sleep-out" with en-suite, set in the garden. Visible to the house and from the studio. Guests travelling alone have said how safe they feel in garden of our family home.

Excellent, blinds, shades and curtains for privacy. Good heater, lovely and warm and even though the bathroom is a 1970's plastic fantastic, we've had more than one review mentioning how great the shower is!

People also say the bed is fantastic, "best night sleep" is a common comment. This is because the bed has a latex and wool mattress with a down topper. The bed itself is a slat bed from Italy.

The desk is tucked under the tv, has ample room and the top drawer has some guide books and brochures for the happy traveler. Also provided are multiplugs, beach towels and umbrellas.

The studio is well suited to a couple traveling with a single child or a solo parent/grandparent/carer traveling with one child or a baby. It would start feeling a bit full with more! A stretcher bed and a cot with linen are available for a small setup fee to cover time and laundry.

A tea and coffee table provides the basics, as well as a small fridge and microwave. No kitchen.

Location is two short blocks (3 minutes) from a decent cafe "JUK" that also sells delicious ready meals for the standard diet, paleo, vegetarians and vegans.

Six minutes walking finds you shopping the select few boutique stores of Herne Bay, as well as a couple of great cafes, bars, restaurants and fish n chip shops. Don’t miss the excellent independent book seller, second-hand book store, yoga studio and excellent pharmacy, should you need extra lock for the beach!

A two minute walk down the hill lands you at a sweet inner harbour beach, explore the tidal beach in winter or swim out to view the harbour bridge in summer. Has changing shed and outdoor shower available.

Our kids:
As you can tell from the climbing frame, swing and trampoline we do have kids, little kids. They can be rowdy during the day in the weekend, guest are usually out during they day... Mostly the kids are at school 9am-3pm, or asleep 7pm -7am so not an issue for guests.

Guest access
A lock box with key provides instant access on arrival.

Guests and children are free to use the garden and the childrens play equipment available.

Other things to note
We are usually fully booked. If you have an early flight (many international flights land at 5am), please book the night before. We can not provide an early check in. If the night before is not available to book, it may be better to stay somewhere else. Especially if you have a baby. It is a long wait until 3pm after 30 hours flying...

We do not do laundry- please use laundromap app they collect and deliver $6kg.
