The space

Our penthouse overlooks Table Mountain and Cape Town City. It is modern and comfortable and centrally located. The open plan layout allows you to have views right across the city from the harbor to Table Mountain. A Jacuzzi spa bath on the patio is the ideal spot to relax after a days city viewing with a glass of wine. The penthouse has all you need from underfloor heating, modern appliances, a separate scullery with washing machine and dryer. There is a communal pool and fully equipped gym situated on the same floor.

Public Transport and taxi's at your doorstep with easy access to beaches, the Waterfront, Camps Bay and the Airport. Gay friendly.

This self catering apartment is located in the Four Season Building, in the heart of Cape Town's historic District Six. The apartment has breathtaking views over Table Mountain, Lions Head and the entire City.

The apartment is spacious and comfortable with all the necessities for visitors. It has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry (dryer and washer). The open plan lounge leads onto a big outdoor patio. I have no problem if you want to haul the mattress to haul the patio if it's a clear calm night to sleep under the stars.

Access to a communal rooftop pool and gym. The building has 24 hour security guards and in close proximity to the police station.

We are two professionals with pretty hectic schedules but if we are around we are happy to engage and assist with referrals to good restaurants etc.

This area, also known as the City Bowl District, is the bustling heart of this diverse metropolis. It is an ideal area to explore this exceptional city, with a heady mix of culture, nature and history and an eclectic mix of people. From the apartment you will have easy access to restaurants and entertainment. The V&A Waterfront and the International Convention Centre are just a stone's throw away. The famous beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are within easy reach and only a ten minute drive by car. The building has 24.7 security with Cape Town police station two blocks away.

This area (historically called District 6), also known as the City Bowl District, is the bustling heart of Cape Town adjacent
to the Castle and other historic sites. It is an ideal area to explore the city, especially if you'd like to experience local lifestyle. With a heady mix of culture, nature and history and an eclectic mix of people, from the apartment you will have easy access to restaurants and entertainment. The V&A Waterfront and the International Convention Centre are just a stone's throw away. The famous beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are within easy reach and only a ten minute drive by car. The building has 24.7 security ayZwith Cape Town police station two blocks away. The area is home to creatives and hipsters in walking distance to the Cape Town night life in an area that is slightly "artsy".

Guest access

The is a 24 hour staffed security reception who will be the normal pick- up point for the keys for 1704. hold your keys. The garage remote is attached which gives you vehicle access in the building on the 7th floor in bay #311. After 3 or 4 of these trips and you will choose Uber. It's cheaper and convenient.

Interaction with guests

We travel quite a bit so not always available for interaction. Happy to engage if we can. If there are guests in the apartment not door, it's either us or fellow Airbnb folks.

Other things to note

The security at the front desk an building ensures all guests safety. Two further access doors prohibit anyone getting to the apartment. The North East and South West facing glass walls ensures great views of both sunrise and sunset.

We believe that empowering previously disadvantaged individuals is key to building our nation. Our housekeeper is very much involved in preparing and caring for our guests and we are training her the right house keeping skills in order for her to manage the apartment and she is now training other Airbnb house keepers which is liberating her and giving her financial freedom.

PLEASE NOTE: The underfloor heating uses excessive electricity. Please speak to me (Mike) so we can reach an agreement should you wish to use the heating. Most guests prefer it off.

This apartment is not to be used for your commercial gain.

As most international flights arrive early and depart late from Cape Town most guests request early and/or late check in/outs. Even though we'd love to accommodate you, we unfortunately cannot accommodate flexible check-in/out times for this reason. Where possible, you welcome to drop your luggage off in our apartment next our (1701) and start exploring District six.

TO READ BEFORE BOOKING : Ok, i will make it simple, Its just the best place and the best host we have had so far. The place is just beautiful, safe and clean. We traveled all over the world, we had over a hundred hotel but Capetown, South Africa and THIS PENTHOUSE was the ultimate. Thanks again, couldn't believe what we had for that price, its just ridiculous .Note that, I rented the place without notifying my spouse she thought it was in a simple hotel, with the view of the mountains, the 17th floor, the huge terrace, she couldn't believe it. Finally, the hosts are of an indescribable help, just for an example, they even sent our postcards that we had forgotten... We had a better service then a lot of 5 starts hotel and i'm serious. Its easy if you go to Capetown this is the only place to go. A candlelit dinner, on the huge terrace of this penthouse, alone where no one who can see you, with an outdoor bubble bath and champagne... Best way to confirm to your new wife that you are the Man of his life... ;). NB: this is to read before booking why? Because my only mistake was to only take 3 days at this places, there is so much to do in Capetown and around. I would highly suggest you to be there for at least 4 days. Thanks for having us, Sol and Mike! Our stay was great and the apartment was in a perfect downtown location allowing us to explore Cape Town! Check in and parking was super simple and the views of table mountain were spectacular! The apartment was clean and tidy but did get a little noisy at times particually when the bad weather hit!

Although we didnt meet them, Mike and Sol seem to be very nice guys. Their communication was excellent and they had a list with amazing things to do in the area. Their apartment was clean and with one of the best views ive ever experienced. If you have the possibility to stay here, i'd recommend 10/10

My partner and I are two professionals who enjoy life and living in one of the most beautiful and culturally diverse cities in the world. We love food and wine, nature, dancing, gin and tonics, traveling and meeting new people. We are immensely blessed and live in an eclectic part of the City in an apartment with views that mesmerizes. We also own the apartment adjacent to ours that we rent out on Airbnb when we dont need it. We have lived in Cape Town for 15 years and believe its the best city in the world to live in when considering lifestyle.
