Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
The property is a terraced listed Georgian (1825) house, beautifully renovated within the Chichester Conservation Area in a street of similar aged house. It provides accommodation on four floors with a small paved back garden . It is five minutes walk to the City's shops and restaurants and to the Festival Theatre. Street Parking is available .

The space
The front door opens onto a dining room with an antique table and chairs, and a piano. There are two arches from this room through to a lounge which gives access to the "sun trap" patio garden .This has a range of garden furniture .The lounge has a television with a Smart TV and Sky.

In the cellar is a lovely kitchen and dining/breakfast room .

Please note that it is an old house and the stairs are quite steep . There are handrails .

On the first floor overlooking Washington Street is a double bedroom with a very comfortable brass double bedstead . This room has a cupboard for hanging clothes .
Across the landing is a lovely bathroom with both shower and double bath ( which has views to the cathedral ) , a basin and toilet .

Next door is a separate toilet .

Up a further set of stairs in the attic is a second bedroom . There are two single beds and views from the window over the garden and Cathedral . Children love sleeping in this space .

Please note the house has steep stairs and many of the floors are wooden and a number of clocks including two grandfather/grandmother clocks . They add atmosphere.

Guest access
Guests have access to the whole house ; some of our possessions remain in the house as we still use it regularly . We do not live at the house and access is via keys in a key safe which is accessed by a code .

There is a private South facing paved garden with table and chairs. In the garden room at the bottom of the garden are cushions for the chairs and loungers which feel free to use .

Other things to note
On street parking is available with vouchers necessary for one hour in the morning (10:00-11:00) and one hour in the afternoon (14:00-15:00) during the day Monday to Saturday
Vouchers are provided free of charge and are on the table in the front room . Other times including during the night no vouchers are needed .
At night if it impossible to park in Washington Street or neighbouring streets there is always the theatre car park which is free of charge after 20:00

Retired ex businessman with family in the area who travels extensively and lives primarily in London . During the shut down period we have been living in the house ourselves which we have enjoyed . Chichester has been very low risk with Covid 19 and with easy access to the magnificent South Downs and the Coast we have felt very safe . And in July the pubs many wIth gardens should open up .
