Great location
100% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.

On a little fruit farm in the woods of the South Downs National Park. We're in the centre of the hamlet of West Dean Just a mile from the wonderful wild beach at Cuckmere Haven and near to some ancient Villages hidden in the valley. Wild life and woodland welcome you to an old barn with a great ambience. Great walks along the South Downs Way towards the Seven Sisters Cliffs and on to Birling Gap. And some good Pubs to try by the river where dogs are welcome .

Lovely little place, ideal for us with our little dog Luca as a base to explore the countryside and visit nearby family. Lovely welcoming touches and all you need for a stay away.

A great location with plenty of walks right from your door. Monks' Granary Barn was comfortable, homely and had everything we needed for our trip. Many thanks from Colin, Pam and our faithful hounds Chunk and Mable.

West Dean is a beautiful village and the surrounding countryside outstanding. The accommodation is very comfortable but a not very pretty wall blocks any view. Pub wise the Eight Bells at Jevington has good food (and beer!)

The accommodation was brilliantly dog friendly. The location was superb for walking and visiting the beautiful coast. The hosts were most welcoming and helpful. We bought some chutney from their shop and it was delicious. Use of the paddock for our dog was great. An amazing find…
