Guests of tenant must be 45 to stay one week+. Background application required by park office before arrival.

This trailer #312 is unique and is ideal for 1-2 people who would appreciate the vintage decor and "Tommy Bahama" interior furnished with bamboo furniture and island accents collected from around Florida and the Caribbean. On a corner lot, this unit has good air flow, plenty of sunlight and a carport/patio for parking your vehicle, keeping sandy beach stuff stored and for sitting/socializing. Situated on a small lot with grass and tropical flowers...a little natural green space is always refreshing:)
All the amenities of the park: laundry room, library, clubhouse, office manager, grounds keeper, visitor parking for guests, bayside docks and lounge area.
Interaction with guests
Friendly bunch here– renters and residents alike are happy to be here and socialize often in the high season (potluck dinners, happy hours, BBQs). Consider that many of the folks are fleeing the "cold white north" of the U.S., Canada and Europe...when your blood thins out here it makes you energetic and mobile:)
Other things to note
This 55+ park is very clean, well managed and most everyone is friendly and looks out for each other. There is no hired security here but residents feel safe and rarely do things go missing. Most folks leave beach chairs, grills and bicycles out in patios but due to transient traffic from the beach it is wise to lock up your most valued items...the only guarantee we can offer.
No smoking inside and no pets (service animals ok if approved by office manager). The age requirement is 55 plus, may have a guest who is at least 45. This is not a party place, and we ask that music and boisterous behavior be kept to a minimum, especially in the evenings. Please be respectful of other park residents by keeping TVs and noise at a considerate level. Prior to arriving, guests must fill out and submit an information form from the Sandpiper office, including driver's license info, and will also receive a parking permit if driving.
Cancel up to 5 days before your trip and get a full refund. Cancel within 5 days of your trip and the first night is non-refundable, but 50% of the cost for the remaining nights will be refunded.

Originally from southeastern Connecticut, I now live full-time in Tampa, Florida, with my Floridian wife, 3 kids and various pets. We love to travel and explore the world together and with our children, from the Caribbean to China! In the summer, we always migrate up to New England to spend time with family, friends and enjoy the New England coastline and great seafood! There in Stonington – on the southeastern Connecticut coastline – we all try to congregate each summer on my family's 100 year-old summer retreat called Sea Acres. It consists of three cottages on four acres, looking out over a salt-marsh cove and across Fisher's Island and Long Island Sounds. We are backed by a nature conservancy, and love the wildlife we see there every day (chipmunks, dozens of bird species, woodchucks, skunk, fox, deer and an occasional coyote).
In Florida we also have listed 2 little vintage beach trailers on the coastal barrier island of Anna Maria, with white powdery sand beaches. Those are often available summer through fall on Airbnb, but they are always booked a year in advance for the winter months when all the snowbirds come down to flee the cold weather.
As a creative person and stickler for details, I make sure my rentals are unique, comfortable and well stocked. My feeling is that people appreciate the small details, like nice dishes and linens, good hospitality and a little snack when they first arrive. These were not furnished or decorated for the rental market, but as our second homes, and they have unique touches throughout, including pieces such as my great grandmother's sea chest from Ireland, grandpa's ship's wheel and my wife's grandmother's walnut table.
We are gardeners both here and in New England, and over the years have planted more than 1,000 daffodil bulbs at the Stonington, CT property, a real sight to see in early spring.
We have very much enjoyed working with Airbnb, and use them ourselves when we travel. My recent trip to Norway included staying in a fabulous AirBnB apartment near downtown Oslo. It was in a great historic area just a 10 minute walk from downtown... fantastic.
