Philips place was really great! Great location. Good amenities. He had a stocked kitchen, which was a great help. I just wish there was air conditioning in the house, specially because it was really hot there in September. But overall, pretty great!

Phil's place is spacious and beautiful! We loved the views and the beach access. He left water bottles, eggs, coffee and cookies for us to enjoy. He suggested a great place to eat called Bay Side Café. The place is homely and secluded for privacy and is quiet aside from little highway noise but you can also hear the ocean. The check-out at 3PM was great because we didn't have to wake up early.

Philip's place is awesome! We loved every minute of it. Great communication, and a beautiful home. 10/10 would go again.

I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good value. We had the whole place to ourselves and it had all the amenities you could possible need while in town. The bed was inviting and the room has a separate heater to adjust to your level of comfort. We made our own breakfast everyday, was able to do a load of laundry and had family over one night to enjoy the roof top deck ocean views with an awesome sunset.

I booked this stay on short notice and Phil had been very accommodating to enable it for which I am grateful. He was prompt and clear in his communication which I also appreciated. His place is pretty much as described - cozy and homey. I wanted to stay well off LA in close proximity of the ocean and with other hiking opportunities; and his location was perfect for me. The neighborhood was quiet and easily accessible. I didn't really know Cayucos or Morro Bay and enjoyed "discovering the area. I would definitely recommend Phil's place to others.

We booked almost at the last minute, which was really helpful for our plans as the timing was just right. By coincidence we and Philip were both in Santa Cruz the night before our stay, and we had a nice chat over some food - fellow Brits abroad! - and he was able to give us some useful tips on the area, including where to go out for food & drink. The next day we drove down to Cayucos via the Pacific Coast Highway and were very pleased to find a spacious, comfortable home to relax in. While there was noise from the nearby road during the day, it was never really an issue, and the area was otherwise very quiet, and we were left undisturbed, which was great. There was no aircon, and we had a minor heatwave at the start of our stay, but with windows open to catch the breeze it stayed cool enough. The house definitely felt lived-in, and it wasn't immaculately clean (the kitchen needed a bit of TLC) but for all that it was a really nice place to stay, with plenty of character. Perfect for just chilling out for a while on the coast.

I am an Englishman living in California. I have a small house-painting business, but when I'm on holiday I like to do coloured-pencil drawings and take photographs. I like to swim, to read and to explore museums and architecture. I am in my 40s.
