The kitchen and paved garden also boast the best views in the village due to the location, so brew up and relax. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, electric hob and oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer.

The living room is cosy with multi-fuel stove. A large flat screen television and comfy leather furniture will ensure your evening in, is an enjoyable one.

Head upstairs and there are quality mattresses, allergy free pillows and duvets, to make sure everyone who stays here, will get a good night's sleep.

Where you’ll be

Hoylandswaine, England, United Kingdom

900 ft above sea level, this house is located high in the Pennines. With beautiful countryside near the village and the Peak District only fifteen minutes drive away, access to beautiful countryside is just beyond your doorstep. Other national parks in Yorkshire are also relatively close, including cities and towns with great interest. Halifax Piece Hall or Salt's Mill near Bradford for example. Theatres in Sheffield, Leeds or Manchester offer an area which could keep you entertained throughout your stay. Other cultural places of great interest are the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, a ten minute drive, and The Hepworth in Wakefield.

Cannon Hall Country Park is a short drive down the road to the neighbouring village of Cawthorne. It has a farm shop which sells high quality produce if you fancy the finest ingredients for your Sunday breakfast.

Drive in the opposite direction for less than ten minutes and you have the market town of Penistone where you will find a supermarket, filling station, off-licence and a few recently opened restaurants.

We have leaflets in the house to inform you of many local attractions and places of interest. They include the Yorkshire Mining Museum and many stately homes.

Great walks around and about with many OS maps in the house for you to plan your day's walking.

Any other information you need then speak to our host on the day of check-in.
