Immerse yourself in peaceful relaxation in our airy 2nd story island-style tree-house cabana in the jungle, 300 steps to the crystal blue sea! We are in a quiet, woodsy, slightly older development away from the hustle and bustle and boat fumes of more touristy areas. Enjoy our gorgeous pool and very long, nap-approved, partially covered community dock with amazing snorkeling in the unmatched Meso-American reef. Walk to dive and kayak rental shop and several beach restaurants.
Our home has 2 bedrooms with double beds and AC, 2 twin beds in the sleeping loft, a double futon in the living room, an open dining and living area with semi-reliable wifi and TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and double french doors leading out to the screened-in porch with BBQ. Drive or take a taxi or bus for convenient access to West Bay and West End when you want to try something different. Water taxis run between West Bay and West End. I think having a car is very useful if you want to venture out more often. Or just stay here and swim with reef fish, rays and turtles! Lie on a raft, put on a mask and watch "Fish TV" just below you in its unlimited variety. And, since this is the jungle, there are bats, bugs, geckos, land crabs, iguanas, and tons of chirping birds. Please note, while we have wifi & TV, the island is known for intermittent service. Please do not plan to run a business or do anything critical online at this point. For example, you may want to do a lot of your trip research before coming. It will most likely work the whole time, but... then again, it may not!
There is one locked closet with host belongings in the smaller bedroom. Everything else is available for your use.
Other things to note
The Sundancer community is intended to be as natural as possible and make as small a footprint as possible. Because of this, you won't see a lot of lights around the property at night. We have flashlights and lanterns for your use. Be careful on the stairs!
- Quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am
- Please note that the external stairway is very tall and not easy to climb for anyone with limited strength or ability and perhaps risky for small children.
I am an OR nurse and IT Analyst from California. Scuba diving is my passion and I long to share the wonders of Roatan and the meso-american reef with other potential fans.
