John's place is comfortable enough for two (which is what I did) but can easily accommodate up to four. The casita offers a loft with a bed and a futon on the ground floor. There are plenty of outlets for charging electronics on both the ground floor and in the loft. Lamps and th…

Dug the casita, liked the neighborhood, stayed for a week. A bit of a bug issue. John is a very friendly dude, and a pleasure to chat with about ABQ.

Response from John:
We have completely exterminated all the bugs inside. Since we are in a river valley Albuquerque does have a lot of insect life for a desert environment. The bugs we have are seasonal and vary with our limited rainfall. The Casita loft is removed from anything but mosquitos moths and flies which cannot get in if the doors and windows are closed. The ground floor has been treated for roaches and spiders and we have not had problems or complaints since. Sammy was here during a drought when the roaches were desperate to find water and a few came in for that purpose and died from the bug treatment. When the monsoons come in July and August we may see some more bug migrations. It’s hard to eliminate every single bug on the farm but the living quarters are free from infestation.
