As of June 1st, 2021, we ask that you present your CDC vaccination cards. Do NOT book if you are not vaccinated. Stonecraft House was originally built as an inn and tavern in the late 1700s. The bed is a double bed, not a queen bed. The room is up a steep flight of stairs. The mattress is soft, so avoid this listing if you like a firm mattress. The bathroom is shared and we ask everyone to participate in our COVID precautions. Masks required in common areas, such as staircases and hallways.

The space
Room 7 is very small, and shaded by the evergreens on our North side, so it isn't the brightest lit of rooms, but it has its own charm...when not rented out we call it Ruth's writing room. Ask about the artwork on the walls and the dragons and bears displayed in the room.
Our home is very old and very dry, so it's a no smoking place. If you do smoke inside, we'll ask you to leave and your money will be lost.

Where you’ll be

Wakefield, New Hampshire, United States

This is a small town with a park and model train at Heritage Park just down the street, and the NH Farm Museum just south of us on Rte 125. Nearby Sanbornville (also a village of Wakefield) has a rail trail that stretches all the way to Wolfeboro - a nice hike or bike option. There are snowmobile trails out back through the woods - great for walking in the dryer times, cross country skiing in the winter.

I'm a retired lawyer and hubby Russ is a retired nuclear inspector. We enjoy getting to know people but respect your privacy; you can interact with us as little or as much as you're comfortable with. We have a tropical bird Suzie, a cockatoo. We also have two Shih Tzus; no cats allowed! My motto is to deal lovingly and competently with whatever the universe puts in my path.
