The "Hiker's hut" is a super cute getaway in a perfect location. Quick walk to historic downtown and the brewery. Sara was quick to respond with any of our concerns. Pretty much everything exceeded our expectations. The only hesitation I have for future bookers was the apartment had a strong cigarette odor. The host provided an air purifier, which for most would definitely suffice. Unfortunately, I am highly sensitive to the smell and the purifier didn't quite eliminate it.

Lovely little place. Sara was very attentive and accommodating. Noise was a little bit of an issue from the neighbors and we really were expecting a stove but other than that, a cute little spot.

We booked this apartment because of the location, which is a 10 minute drive from the southern entrance to Shanandoah. That was fantastic. But we were disappointed by a few issues with the apartment. First, and most importantly, we came back late after a long day of sweaty and muddy hiking, and when we tried to use the shower, there was no hot water. The next morning, we texted the owner about it and she replied by asking whether the hot water was now working. We texted back that it wasn't. And that was it. We never heard from her again. Second, the apartment had a light smell of smoke. When I got home, my suitcase and clothes all smelled smoky.

A lovely stylish and immaculate place, a private sanctuary close to area attractions and easy to find. The Keurig and plush towels were a treat! This was our first Airbnb experience and it was fabulous!
