We stayed at Pamela's place for a 5-day fall getaway from NYC to the Berkshires. It was a perfect trip! The view from every window in the house is stunning, with trees and sky and mountains surrounding the house. It was clean, modern and simple. It felt like a hotel vs somebody's lived in home. Perfect. Rooms were large, spacious and simply decorated. Pamela and her husband left a guide they prepared, which had listings of nearby attractions and was very helpful. We did short hikes everyday, which were a short drive away. One was 30min drive to the lake on Mount Everett, and the other two were super close, possibly 5min drive. I was there with my husband and our 16 month old daughter, and although the house is not childproofed, per se, my daughter was completely safe the whole time and enjoyed playing safely on the deck, in the various rooms on the main floor and in the yard. Again, perfect. We brought our own travel crib and high chair and a few simply toys. Check in and check out was smooth and easy. Something that wasn't ideal, was the garbage removal. We were supposed to take the bags with us or to the nearby dump when we leave. My husband tried to take it to the dump, but he was only allowed to leave the recyclables. Our car was full, and we had no place to take the trash bags anyway since we were driving back to Manhattan, so we left them in the large bin in the garage and let Pamela know that we couldn't take them. I think it was fine, but maybe there's a better solution to trash. Otherwise, zero complaints and I may very well book another visit to Pamela's place in the Berkshires to see the winter wonderland!

I am so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay at our house! We are brand new home owners and first time renters and are new to the process. We are sorry for the inconvenience regarding the garbage, and from now on, renters will be able to leave the garbage in the bins provided in our garage. Hope you come back soon!
