Perfect for business travelers, interns, and students! The unit is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 2-family home near Watertown Square. The guest bedroom has a full-size bed. The shared spaces include the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Washer and dryer are available in the unit at no cost. There are several bars, restaurants, and convenience stores within walking distance. There is one off-street parking space available. Public transportation via bus to Cambridge or Boston is nearby.

The space

The space is on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a two-family house near Watertown Square, about 7 miles outside of Boston. The bedroom is private and includes a full-size bed. The kitchen, bathroom, and living room are also open to guests and shared with me when I am at the residence, although I’m usually in my home office. Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Instant Video are available for guests to stream in the private guest bedroom as well as the living room and kitchen.

Light breakfast will be provided for the morning (e.g., fruit, bagels, toast, and/or muffins). I also stock other breakfast staples like milk, cream cheese, butter, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices. I am happy to provide ingredients upon request if guests would like to cook their own breakfast instead (e.g., eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles).

Light snacks, travel amenities, maps, and guides to Boston are provided in the guest room. You are welcome to borrow and use what you like!

Guests are welcome to purchase groceries and prepare their own meals in the kitchen. Coffee and tea are always available as well as a selection of K-cups. I am happy to take requests for beverages prior to your stay. WiFi is available throughout the house. Remote WiFi is also available for an extra fee.

Guest access

The guest bedroom is a private room and it includes a full-size bed, TV, and closet space with plenty of hangers. There are towels and washcloths provided.

The living room, kitchen, and bathroom are shared (only with me, and only if I'm on location at the residence.) There is a small yard for pets. Washer and dryer are available 24/7 at no cost within the unit right next to the guest bedroom.

Guests may access the printer upon request.

Interaction with guests

I am often away from the residence, but I'm available by text during your stay. I'm usually able to respond within an hour. I'm more than happy to provide travel recommendations or help with directions if guests are interested! Oftentimes I can obtain tickets at a discount for museums, theater shows, or sporting events in the area, so please ask if you are interested! In order to manage expectations and ensure that guests have read my listing in its entirety, I ask you to include the phrase, "May the Force be with you" when you send a reservation request.

During the day, I'm usually in my home office since I work from home, but it's easy to step away for a moment to assist guests when needed. I enjoy socializing with guests if our schedules allow! The guest bedroom is in a secluded location on the top level of the condo, which permits guests plenty of privacy in the unit.

Other things to note

I can accommodate more than one guest, but I only have one real bed in the private room. I have an AeroBed, but it doesn't fit comfortably in the private room. Please reach out if you have more than one guest and I'd be happy to discuss.

If you are taking public transportation, you will need to take a bus from the condo to connect to the Red Line of the MBTA subway system (The “T") in Cambridge. The bus stops right outside the condo (less than 1 minute walk). The T doesn't run to Watertown.

In rush hour or during special events, it may take over an hour to get to downtown Boston from Watertown (either by car or public transportation). With usual traffic, 30-45 minutes should be expected.

I have a small dog, but she's very friendly. She loves new people and she'll be very excited to meet you! She will only be in the home office or master bedroom during your stay, and not permitted in shared areas. She almost never barks, unless she's startled by a knock on the door or a phone ringing, but potentially you may hear barking during your stay.

There are tenants renting the first floor of the condo. There are separate entrances to both units, so it would be unlikely for you to cross paths with the first floor tenants. There is occasional noise or music that can be heard from the first floor during the day. There are occasional traffic noises or sirens from the street at night.

There is no overnight street parking in Watertown between November-April, but there is one off-street parking spot available at the condo at no additional cost. A second off-street parking spot is available for an additional charge.

-Please keep hall lights switched on at night for your safety.
-Please text me or message through the app upon your arrival and anytime you need to reach me during your stay. I request that you please don't knock on the master bedroom door or call unless it's an emergency. This is only because the sound startles my dog and causes her to bark, which doesn't bother me at all, but will not be enjoyable for you to hear over and over!
-If something is not working properly or broken, please notify me as soon as possible so I can resolve the issue for you. Please do not wait until the end of your stay to mention it! I want to ensure that everything is great!
-No need to do dishes; please leave dirty dishes in the kitchen sink or load the dishwasher if you prefer.
-The washer and dryer are available 24/7 outside the guest bedroom. There are laundry detergent pods on the shelves of the laundry room that should be inserted directly into the washing machine drum. Dryer sheets are also available and should be inserted directly into the dryer.

Feel free to use olive oil, condiments, spices, coffee creamer, half-and-half, milk, cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, eggs and other basics in the fridge!
-Please change into socks if you'll be walking around for extended periods of time, out of respect for tenants downstairs. It's no problem to wear shoes if you're only going in and out of the house.
-Please enjoy Boston and reach out at any time for any reason! I want to make your stay as comfortable as possible!

Adrienne is a gracious AirBnB host. She is easy to communicate with, super responsive and is very considerate. Had an absolutely wonderful stay at her place. The apartment is spacious and very clean. She gave us plenty of options for breakfast. The location too is great and it was very easy to get to Boston by bus. She made sure we were comfortable and was very accommodating. If you are visiting for leisure or for business, this place works just fine. There were these little things/gestures she would do that made our stay special. Thanks again, Adrienne!

The host Adrienne was perfect: kind, toughtful and discreet! The only downside is the modest breakfast and the location a little bit far from the center. By the way, the area is directly linked with Boston city by bus, not subway; by transfers it's about 30-40 minutes, so it's not the perfect solution if you prefer walking; apart from that the aerea has good pubs and it's really quiet!

Response from Adrienne:
Thank you for the feedback and I advise guests to fully read the description of my listing before booking in order to manage expectations. I am sorry that breakfast wasn’t lavish enough. I provide bagels, English muffins, toast, cereal, fruit, breakfast bars, coffee, tea, water and juice. Correct, Watertown is not within walking distance to downtown Boston. The directions to the city center are described in my profile, with estimates to Boston and Cambridge, so I encourage guests to do their research in the future. With a title of “secluded,” I feel the area was accurately described. the second guest, it will need to be set up in another location of the house, as I suggested during check-in. Thanks again for the feedback.
