Updated and comfortable spot to get away and get ready for your Boston adventures. I'm on the first floor of a three story home in a quite neighborhood with quick access in/out of the city. Open floor plan includes a supportive bed and a large walk-in shower. Bus pickups are right down the street (Watertown Ward). If you're not ready for a bus, grab an Uber or Lyft into Boston.

Use the following address to
plot your Uber/Lyft. Location: BP,
110 Galen St, Watertown, 02472 (gas station)

The space

I have the first floor of a three story house, what was remolded in 2015. Private bedroom with a Queen sized bed (Simmons Beauty rest, supportive) for 2 guests.

Driveway for one car is available, I also park there so let me know if you will be driving in. On street parking is always available and can park over night, except during the months of November - April.

There is a washer and dryer in the hall that you are free to use, detergent is supplied. There is a fantastic dry cleaner up the street, usually ready the same day (Name: Dependable Cleaners).

The kitchen is fully updated and available for you to use. A Keurig machine is available, bring your own K-cups to make coffee (Starbucks down the road also). Tea is provided.

The bathroom includes a large walk-in shower that is great for tall guests. Hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, mouse, hair spray...are supplied. There is a basket in your room with commonly forgot items.

Strict No Smoking/Smokers

Guest access

You'll be in a private bedroom that is at the front of the house, next to the main entrance.

I have self check-in setup and there will be a welcome letter with additional information on your bed. I change the lock box access code often and will message you the code the day before you check in. Please remember to leave the key in the lockbox at all times so that it's always available for you.

Check-in is at 6pm, if you need to just drop off your bags earlier just ask, it should be fine.

Interaction with guests

I also live in the house and will be available as needed. I provide my cell number on the welcome letter or you can message me through the airbnb app.

I do travel and will let you know if I won't be physically there. Which is why I request the key be left in the lockbox so that it isn't lost and you find yourself locked out.

I sleep with a white noise machine on, so please don't worry about noise as you move around. It will not disturb me if you arrive late, use the bathroom or shower. I say this because the bathroom is next to my room.

Other things to note

Games: Puzzles, Cards, Uno, Jenga, some board games

TV: RCN cable, no HBO

Internet: Wi-Fi and physical cable are both available. The Wi-Fi password and name are on the welcome letter.

Things to do: In your room you'll find print outs of local places, AAA travel guide, attraction pamphlets, bus schedules, subway map, Boston map, surrounding area map and menus from local places I like food delivery from.

Ruth's place was AWESOME!! 110% to the description. The space was very clean and welcoming. There are notes along the way to get you anything you need from teas to toiletries. Bed was too comfy, as I didn't want to leave most mornings. The place is a short, 20 minute drive from downtown Boston, with lots to do on the way. While we unfortunately could not meet Ruth, her hospitality was felt from afar.
