Studio apartment in an exceptional location adjoining Red Hill Nature Park and the Federal Golf Course. Kangaroos regularly visit the garden.

The apartment has an ensuite with bidet and kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, toaster and kettle. There's aircon, WiFi, a dining table and a desk. The apartment is part of house. The garage and laundry are shared. It's just one step across a passage from the garage to the apartment.

Complimentary tea, coffee, breakfast cereals and milk.

The space

Your apartment is a dedicated guest area which looks out to the north over the golf course and Red Hill Nature Park. There are three restaurants (Red Hill Lookout Restaurant, Little Brother, and the Federal Golf Club restaurant) within 500 metres walk. Yellow-tailed black cockatoos, little corellas, tawny frogmouths, wood ducks and satin bowerbirds are occasional visitors. The more familiar white cockatoos, galahs, crested pigeons, magpies, kookaburras, mudlarks, and noisy miners are usually around. Parliament is 2.5km as the crow flies, a little further if you follow the paths through the Park by bike or on foot. If you are driving, it's much further because you have to skirt around the Park.

Guest access

Your apartment is only one step across a passage from the garage. You can therefore be very private if you prefer but you can use the laundry as well as the garage if you wish.

Interaction with guests

Matthew or Richard will usually be on hand to give you any information or help that you may need.

Other things to note

This is an LGBT and all-ethnicity friendly, non-smoking environment. Your ensuite has a bidet and overhead as well as hand shower.

Richard and Matthew’s place is quiet, comfortable and in great location. My major criterion is quality of sleep. The bed is firm and comfy. However, there is an aircon unit above the head of the bed. It has a white power indicator light which shines into the eyes of the would-bed sleeper. I covered this with a band-aid in the middle of the night. Perhaps Richard could come up with a permanent solution?

Very quiet and well positioned. Great exposure to the local bird life. We captured views of a broad variety of birds over breakfast. Huge comfortable bed.

comfortable and silent place next to a nature reserve. nice views from the bedroom and an excellent shower. good way to enjoy the bush capital. not good for those without a car, though. Matt provides bikes, but the place is uphill.

This is a great bed and breakfast. Park in the garage and walk straight into your room. The room has a king size bed, study table, small dining table, kitchenette and ensuite - all well appointed. Matthew is a very pleasant and helpful host. The breakfast cereals provided were a good start to the day. Looking to stay again when in Canberra.

This is a wonderful studio in a wonderful location at the foot of Red Hill. Highly recommended

The room we stayed in was very spacious with beautiful views, we had everything we needed and had lots of privacy. Would definitely stay again.
