To be perfectly honest, this review came as a complete surprise.
For start, both my cats, and the open window to the balcony are stated in the apartment description (House rules). As for the chill and hissing when coming in - this is the first time I hear of such issues, and i have records of fluent communication with the Sharon (the guest), where they praise my hot shower and mention no other issues such as hissing, temperature, or other during their stay.
Had they raised the house temperature issue - it would have been easy to solve with the central air conditioning heating unit, stated clearly in the listing “space description” and on top as a responsible host I sent Sharon a text message at their arrival.
As for my response time - on a Friday early morning, while having a vacation with my spouse, I'm proud to have answered a text in under two hours. Had there been a sense of urgency – I was, and always am, available by phone which was mentioned since the early stage of communication writing more than once the following: “feel free to call”. If there is a problem I would expect from the guests to call immediately but in this case it never happened further more I sent supportive responsible message to Sharon and since she didn’t reply I assumed that everything is OK.
On top of that Sharon rated the Communication category with 4 stars.
As for the cats behavior - I've had many guests before as well as my own two daughters live in this house, whom I would never put in risk or danger. Never before had my cats hissed at humans, and definitely not attack unprovoked.
IF THIS WAS THE CASE I WOULD TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY! but... upon arrival and until now, I witnessed no evidence around the house or otherwise, of dealing with the claim of pouring blood from cat scratches - not even a bloodied tissue in the trash, or a missing band aid from the first aid kit or blood signs on the bed sheets, towels, floor.
In conclusion, in my point of view this review seems inaccurate and unfair to say the least, I have no idea what prompted such accusations and vengeful rating:
1. The listing which was rated by others 4.9 stars was rated by Sharon with only 1 star - while I can understand a low rating from an unsatisfied guest, this is by all means an exaggeration.
a. Sharon rated one star for accuracy with claims that she didn’t know about the cats - the cats are clearly mentioned in house description.
b. 2 stars rating for value, with claims about the price of private transportation (10$)to the house, A price that was discussed prior to their booking
c. Even though Sharon clearly states a clean house in the private feedback, she rated 3 starts for cleanliness according to her - because there was towel in the house laundry basket, and she was surprised with the fact the people (me) live in the house.
d. 4 stars for check-in while claiming in her public feedback that the house was freezing - again, issue that was discussed beforehand. I do my very best to keep my listing a clean, warm, inviting family house. I’m sorry that the guest choose to describe my house in an insincere way. I will keep on doing everything within my power to please my guests and assist them in many ways, even beyond what Airbnb regulations mandate (see feedbacks from the other guests) You are more than welcome to come and stay here
