This is a shotgun style private apartment with a shared basement, also accessible by the first floor tenant. It also has a deck out back off the bedroom. It's a cute 800 square foot place with a galley kitchen and has some fun retro features like glass blocks, stained glass and built in cubbies in the wall. The basement door and back deck door have skeleton keys, and most of the door knobs have neat deco knob plates. It is on a quiet street with mostly houses and families.
You are renting a full private apartment with a shared basement with washer and dryer.
Interaction with guests
I rent when I travel, but respond to questions and concerns quickly over the phone. Also, the downstairs tenant is very friendly an helpful, as are the neighbors on both sides.
Other things to note
A couple of things are reversed in this apartment. The front storm door handle opens by lifting up. You have to pull the front door towards you slightly as you turn the key toward the door jam to unlock. The hot and cold on the shower are reversed according to the indicator . Lastly, the toilette flushes with an electronic assist flusher. Just push the flusher handle with a quick, firm press and you're done! It's an old, quirky place :)
