TGG Farm, near Ambalavayal in Wayanad, is a serene abode where tranquility and harmony flourish. Maintained by TGG Foundation, a rural development charity, it is an ahimsa farm that prioritizes nature connection and creates livelihood opportunities for local people.

The space
SUSTAINABLE LIVING EXPERIENCE:

This unique experience offers you the opportunity to connect with nature in rural India. The Green Gardens farm grows tea, coffee, pepper, cacao, arecanut, avocado, jackfruit, mango, banana, starfruit, cinnamon and cloves, and keeps geese and ducks.

This opportunity is provided by TGG's Sustainable Living Experience, which is offered to Responsible Human Mission (RHM) members. Please read our 'Responsible Human Mission' on TGG Foundation website before booking.

The double ensuite bedroom has twin beds, which can be put together to make a double. The toilet is fitted with a traditional Indian bidet shower/health faucet. Toilet rolls are not provided and are discouraged for sustainable reasons.

To maintain tranquility, there is no TV, WiFi or sound system. A phone signal can be received on most networks. You may be the only guest/s onsite.

It may not be suitable for children since it is a natural farm without activities that can attract their interest, no proper pathways, limited lighting, always need parents' attention & observation if they are at the farm and limited food options.

As part of our Responsible Tourism, TGG Foundation engage a member from the rural community to cook traditional meals on advance notice as and when they are available to cook food. Only vegetarian and vegan food may be consumed onsite.

Housekeeping/laundry/linen change can be arranged at an extra cost.

We encourage a zero single-use plastic policy at the farm. If you have any plastic / tins that need to be recycled at the end of your stay, they should be given to the farm staff for disposal, at a charge of Rs.100.

Guest access
All areas of the farm are accessible to guests. The farm is in a rural location, and wildlife encounters can occur, therefore guests are required to stay in their accommodation between the hours of 8pm -6am.

The farm is 8kms from the office and an autorickshaw (tuk tuk) will be arranged to take you to the farm at a cost of Rs.300

DISCOUNTS:
We encourage long stay, weekly (15% off) or monthly (60% off) at the retreat so that you can detoxify your mind and body completely by engaging in yoga and meditation, simple eating habits, nature walks, enjoying the music of birds and much more.

VISITOR POLICY:
No visitors are allowed on site.

Neighbourhood highlights

We follow Zero Waste policy at the farm, bio degradable wastes are well managed within the farm, however all other wastes are discouraged from entering into the farm and if entered it need to be taken out of the farm when you leave. There is a disposal system available in Ambalavayal (4kms from the farm) for non-degradable products such as plastics.
