This is a clean, easily accessed apartment in a student area, close to several bars and restaurants. The bathroom was clean and there was no issue with access, even though there were other guests in other rooms of the apartment. The room is small and the mattress is a tad flimsy, but if you are travelling solo and won't be using the room much it is a good option. There is good space to unpack your clothes or put your bag. The loungeroom is a bit more like a hallway with a couch in it - I found the photo a bit misleading here, but the kitchen is very spacious. Check-in is easy with the door codes. The luggage cupboard wouldn't fit a check-in sized bag in it so just be aware of that. The keys to the room doors are a bit of a catch-22; I managed to lock myself out of my room but luckily the other room keys unlock my door, so not sure of their purpose! :P The one thing that I found misleading was the location circle on the listing and the actual location - approx 1.5km SW of the centre of the blue circle. It's not within 4 blocks of the Willis tower :P A good option for budget conscious solo travellers who want to be in the University village area.

I had a great stay and Maria was very accommodating and helpful. The neighborhood is a hidden gem with restaurants and character. Looking forward to staying here again.

Had just flown in from Beijing and the check in was so fast and convenient! Marina was a dream to communicate with and she made everything really easy. I highly recommend her spots! The listing is accurate (the place was clean, close to a handful of great spots to eat, near the train). She immediately responded and got me set up within 30 mins of booking, so grateful for a wonderful host! :)

This is a lively space, just right by a university full an of energetic and multicultural atmosphere. Was quiet enough to have good sleeping hours. Marina has covered everything by giving detailed instructions for the check-in and stay. Takes a little bit to figure out the doors but nothing serious. The room is small, but is completely understandable given Chicago's priced and available spaces. Common places are well taken care of.

Economical place to stay close to everything. Neighborhood is quaint, I liked it. Room is small, but accurately reflected in picture. Bathroom is shared with other people staying in small apartment. No TV. Not suitable if you have any ambulatory issues. Stairs are steep and narrow to upstairs. Good value if you are a single traveler looking for a cheap place to stay close to downtown.
