You work hard, now it's time to slow down and relax! Forty minutes east of Salem, and a half hour to Detroit lies this little cozy gem of a house right on the Santiam river. Lots of light with large windows, wood floors, stainless steel appliances, and comfortable beds.
Great for two couples as there are two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom.
Bring your fishing poles, a good book, and allow yourself to relax.

The space

Wood & water is what comes to mind when I think of this house tucked in the woods. WOOD floors, a sliding barn door, a mismatched wooden wall I put up to cover some 70s paneling that had to go...
The river can be seen from the living room, study, dining room and kitchen. The glass front door & new light fixtures, as well as the quartz countertops mimic the wavy flow of the river and the glistening of the light on water.

Guest access

The whole house is yours to enjoy.

Interaction with guests

I live about an hour away, am very accessible by phone anytime and if my guests need me I will gladly jump in the car and head out there.

Other things to note

Currently there is no wifi or TV hooked up. There is a TV with a DVD player and movies to watch though.

My husband and I are very new to this but excited to share what we have with others. We love to travel but there's a big part of me that likes to stay home. We have 4 kids (2 are married now), a cow, 2 dogs, a llama, 2 cats & 2 goats. When we travel we pretty much just wing it! w…
