Enjoy tranquil village life in this spacious three bed, two bathroom riverside cottage. Entertain or relax on the deck watching wildlife, boats and water skiers navigating the Tweed river.
Wander down to cafes and the village pub for great food and an afternoon drink overlooking the river.
If you feel lively cast a line and fish from the river bank or kayak along the Tweed and Rous Rivers. Picnic on the riverbank under the tree lined parkland.
Riverview Cottage is situated on the river in the historic village of Tumbulgum. It's within five minutes walking distance of cafes, pub and the village post office and general store.
Boaties will love being so close to the jetty for launching motorcraft on the river.
History buffs can follow the history trail around the village streets to find the old police station, jail, schoolrooms, convent and church.

Interaction with guests
Your guest host will be available by phone your entire stay should you require assistance.
Other things to note
The downstairs studio was damaged in the recent flood and will not be accessible at this time. The rear garden is also off limits whilst repairs are underway.
- The living area is upstairs and there is no safety gate at the top of the stairs. There are decks at the front and back of the house that children would need to be supervised when using.
- Smoking outside only
- At the moment there is no access to the rear garden so we are not accepting pets. In the future they will be very welcome!
I'm originally from the UK and now live in Burleigh Heads QLD with my family. I love to kayak, bush walk and swim in the ocean. I also love the theatre and good coffee, hence regular trips to Melbourne!
In 2013 I travelled for 5 months around the world and utilised AirBnB wherever I went from Paris to Prague to Peru.
After years of Airbnb travel I've now become a host! I've listed my country home at Laidley, Queensland as available for guests from October 2015.
