Michael was a very attentive host after booking and prior to arrival. He was even open to allowing us more flexible check-in/-outs, but other guests were departing/arriving on our same dates. Still, I was grateful he was willing. Other than that, we never heard from him during our stay. That's fine. The location is perfect. Easy walk to the waterfront, tons of restaurants, markets, and shops. This made it completely worthwhile. The unit is the very back of the house, shared with two other units. There is a balcony, but it isn't very private. Street parking overnight requires a resident permit. The spot to park is a tight squeeze in the very back. The unit is adorably decorated. Has a really comfortable bed. Really nice shower and bath with jets. Didn't really use the upstairs loft. There was leftover coffee, but I don't think that was intended. No toiletries. 1/2 ply toilet paper. The unit is a little worse for wear. The doorknob fell off when we arrived. The unit smelled very strongly of pets. And our last day, the bedroom and bathroom power cut out leaving us without power in those rooms for several hours prior to check-out.

The house was beautiful, spacious, and the perfect location to explore San Francisco, Marin, or Napa. It really was convenient to not worry about parking in SF when the ferry from Sausalito or a Lyft ride is so convenient and relatively inexpensive. The neighborhood is quiet but within a block of a an amazing market, great restaurants, and several nice cafes. I’d definitely recommend this house to those that want a nice quiet getaway and/or a great homebase for exploring the Bay Area.
