Our beautiful home was built in the late 1700s and is loaded with charm. The decor is a mix of old and new. We have a small orchard of pear and apple trees and tons of flower gardens. We do have 1 large, very friendly dog and 2 loving cats that usually do their own thing. Please note that New Hampshire has a room and meals tax that is 9%. We are required to collect this from anyone who stays with us as it is not included in the listing fee. Currently we can only accept cash for the tax.

The space

Our beautiful home was built in the late 1700s and is loaded with charm. The decor is a mix of old and new. We have a small orchard of pear and apple trees, tons of flower gardens and even a super comfy hammock. We have 7 acres that you can explore and our neighboring home is owned by Historic New England and is available to tour on certain weekends. The yard is gorgeous and is always available to stroll through. It also has a beautiful gazebo at the top of the hill. We do have 1 large, very friendly dog and 2 loving cats that usually do their own thing. The room is large and bright with your own private bathroom, shower tub included! The mattress is also new and is memory foam, super comfy!

Samantha's mom is very nice, kind, and helpful. The room we stayed in did not have blinds so it was an early wakeup with sun (if you are sensitive to light). Bathroom is dated but functional. Dog jumped up against car door/window and scraped paint with claws/paws (seemed to be a friendly dog). Large room.

Staying with Samantha and Shirley in their historic home was a great pleasure! The room was very clean and tidy, and made for a unique stay during a work trip. Having your own private bath was an added bonus. I would recommend this place to anyone looking in the area.

Samantha's house is quite large and historic. The room was exceptionally large with a comfortable queen-size bed. Added bonus a private bathroom and you pretty much have the entire upstairs to yourself (so privacy is no issue). Samantha's yard is beautiful and she is working on the house as she is a new owner.... you have full use of the outside patio and the kitchen. Plenty of parking in her yard. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely stay here again if in the area.

Fantastic old home with tons of character. Very comfortable bed and room. Lots of renevations to do but it is just an awesome house! I booked last minute but that wasn't an issue. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Especially Duke (the dog) just love him.

My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and it was excellent. Shirley was very accommodating and we felt really relaxed in her home after a long day of festivities. She had snacks waiting for us when we got there and made us coffee and had a homemade muffin for us in the morning. We really liked how much character their house had. The cat and dogs were so nice, too. We plan on coming back again one day!

Samantha and Shirley are wonderful hosts. Duke, Larry, and baby kitty were wonderful as well. The house is beautiful and an absolute pleasure to tour. I will be sure to stay again during the autumn.
