Interaction with guests
We would love to share our favorite things about Phoenix with you! there are three other stand-alone AirBnb container homes onsite, with other AirBnb guests, as well as a steady flow of friends that are frequently visiting, if would like to mingle with locals or other travelers, otherwise the studio itself is a quiet place to hideout.
Other things to note
In order to accommodate guests that have allergies, we do have a no-pet policy.
Be cool! :) PLEASE READ entire HOUSE MANUAL for all important check-in information. This avoids phone calls in the middle of the night!
No smoking inside; outside okay!
Please plan accordingly! We stay pretty busy and try not to rush guests in and out. Please respect our check-in/out times and do not rely on early check-in or bag drops. It just creates too much confusion for all involved.
Please use provided make-up towels to avoid staining bath towels.
Please no feminine products down the drain; use provided water bins.
Sorry, no commercial photo/ video at this time
Please keep the Doggies in by keeping the gate closed.

We love to travel, meet new people and experience our destinations as much like locals as is possible! Derrick runs a bicycle shop here in Phoenix and and we are active in the Downtown Phoenix arts scene. We garden, reclaim water, compost, and keep chickens and rabbits. We have two fluffy/scruffy dogs and a couple of porch cats, and they also love to meet new people!
We try to check out as much food, cool local businesses and local breweries wherever we go. There is nothing that we can't live without, but a great travel experience will include: new people, great food, great beer, beautiful art and a good story. So far, our favorite destinations have been Portland OR, Fort Collins CO, Austin, TX and Boise, ID. Derrick once found the Goonies house (from the '80's movie) simply by driving up and down the streets of Astoria, OR until he found the view that "looked right".
When hosting, we are delighted when our guests are looking for local experiences. As business owners, we appreciate when out of town guests frequent our business. We enjoy introducing our guests to the local treasures, the DIY spots, local bars and breweries, restaurants, local clothing, music. It is a great pleasure when we can recommend one of the businesses in the community, and share what makes our city special with people that are traveling.
