A lovely old home that has been converted to apartments. Great little town centrally located in the tourism belt of the Berkshires and Northwest CT. This apartment is spare and very basic, but it's priced appropriately and quite nice with big windows, hardwood floors, non-working, but pretty fireplace, antique doors, etc. Two bedrooms, LR, small kitchen and bathroom with full bath/shower. 12" memory foam queen mattress and single air mattress Think simple, think zen?

Jeff’s place was as described- spare but clean, comfortable and quiet. It was very close to the site of our friends’ wedding, which worked perfect for us. A few more tweaks and added touches, as Jeff gets his place into the full Air BnB swing, will make his place really special.

I enjoyed taking a walk in the neighborhood there. Just a couple blocks from a cute downtown Main Street.

Spare is not the word. Zen is not the word either. The place was clean and the mattress was very comfy, other than that, the place is terrible. Tissue paper taped to the windows act as "shades". Only 1 of 5 windows in the bedroom opens. Spare "air mattress" room window doesn…

Response from Jeff:
I truly regret that this guest was so disappointed. Most of my guests have rated it 5 stars. One of my first guests, a nice professional couple from afar, came for a weekend and decided to stay for a month! I'm new to this and have tried to be very clear and forthright in my listing description. This area of Northwest Connecticut and the Berkshires is a high-traffic tourism area where options for low-priced lodging are limited. As some of my other guests have noted this is a comfortable, inexpensively-priced option with a bit of charm as can be seen in the photographs. It's nothing fancy and leaves many things to be desired, I am the first to admit, but it's clean, it's cute (as other guests I've met have told me), it's an old Victorian home that's been covered to apartments, it's in a nice neighborhood in a nice little town on a historic tourism route with access to all that the area has to offer. I won't go tit for tat over some of the opinions expressed. Some I agree with, some I feel are inaccurate. I hope others will read the other reviews and not judge by this one. The bottom line is there are many nicer and higher-priced places to stay in this area.

Jeff's place is well kept. Master bedroom is huge, so enjoy that. The local area has some quick eats and small shops. Def worth the money!

Peaceful space near to Great Barrington, Lakeville and other lovely rural areas. Parking is a huge plus, especially with a large vehicle.

Simple, Zen like quiet and close to nature waterfalls, river canoes rides and nature trails.
