Saya was a super helpful host who responded quickly and effectively to all my questions. I really appreciated how clear the check in process was and how thought out it was - she sent super clear directions on how to find her place after getting off the bus a week before arriving. It was a life saver as it helped us plan on how to get from place to place with time frames in mind. Other than Saya being a great host, the location was pretty great. There is a coin laundry down the street for those who need to do laundry (it wasn't noted in the listing and we found it anyways), a nice bakery with really good breakfast breads, convenience stores, and lots of cute little locally owned restaurants. Don't be discouraged to enter one! All the restaurant owners are super nice and mostly have an English menu if you need it. Other than that, the bus stop is only a couple walks away as well. It took us only 10 minutes to get to Nijo Castle with one bus and it was awesome to be so close to a historical site. You can also basically get anywhere with the 50 or 206 bus in Kyoto. We went to Kyoto station with one bus and it took around 25 minutes. From there, you can just shop, or do whatever around the city. We took tours through JTB. The only thing I would note would be that it's sort of loud all the time. The apartment is on a really busy street so every night and morning, you'll hear cars, buses, and people biking. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay, this wouldn't be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a prime location to call home temporarily and live as the people do, then this is perfect! Again, thanks Saya for being a great host!

Saya was very responsive, and the flat was very well located for transport, restaurants, and laundry.

This place is not bad at all! I would stay again if they were just a tad bit closer to the station. Not the greatest neighborhood since it looks pretty run down, but it is not dangerous at all since I walk very early in the morning and at night. Thank you for the stay!

Saya's spot is great for 2 travelers. It is a little further away from the hustle and bustle of the core but it still has many great restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The apartment is very clean and Saya provided us with all the necessities including towels, tea, hair dryer, bathing needs and anironing board. Saya is also very communicative and provided clear directions that included pictures which made finding the spot very easy. Thank you for such a pleasant and comfortable stay!!
