Only 15 km from ancient and picturesque city of Zadar - farmhouse with a swimming pool, set in a beautiful sunny scenery near Posedarje village, with Novigrad sea and mighty Velebit mountain only few miles away. Surrounded by vineyard, olive fields, woods, chickens, roosters and fruit trees, while quad bikes and bicycles are always at your disposal. Perfect example of a country estate in rural Dalmatia, where you can simply wonder away, physically and in your thoughts - escape from everything.

The space

Every morning you can take fresh eggs from the chicken coop or pick some plums from the tree - make yourself a nice and healthy breakfast out of domestic groceries. Also, there are two quad bikes at your disposal at any time (suitable for ride only on wild/country roads, not on state roads) - to enjoy roads in the wilderness and fully immerse into local environment. Other than that you can enjoy rides on two bicycles as well, grill some meat on the barbecue or play traditional dalmatian game "buće". :)

Guest access

Our stay started with a lovely warm welcome from Josip's parents and brother. The house is full of character, beautifully furnished and well stocked. The quad bikes and cycles were a welcome addition and it was lovely getting out and exploring the local contryside on them. The pool was a good size and having fresh eggs for breakfast each morining was a treat. There is so much to see and do in the local area too, we ran out of time to see everything that the location had to offer!

Josip and his family were the perfect hosts. Seriously. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced such warm hearted generosity anywhere in the world. The house is small but very cute. It actually used to be a hunting lodge for Josip’s dad, big hearted father Rajko (a.k.a. The Captain). The pool is a good size – and there are quad bikes if you feel like pootling around the country lanes. The kids loved checking the chickens for eggs in the morning – and mucking about in the pool. Just perfect. Josip had some great recommendations for restaurants and beaches around the area. We followed up on as many as we could and they really made our trip. There was a small problem with the solar panels while we were there – and by way of an apology Josip, The Captain, and his beautiful wide Lada, took us out on their boat which is moored in the marina at Zadar. It was an amazing day which began with schnapps made from their own fruit trees and cured meats and cheeses made by members of their family. They took us around the islands – showed us how to fish – and showed our kids how to drive the boat. Lada, then cooked us a lovely meal of fresh caught fish on– anchored up in a divine bay as the sun slipped down over the horizon – all washed down with a fair few bottles of wine. The kids haven’t stopped talking about it – and it’s a memory we’ll treasure forever. Thank you Josip, Lada and the Captain. You are good people. You made our holiday very special.

Lovely villa with great pool and other quirky features such as chickens, quad bikes, cycles and boule. We had intended to go out on several days but chose to stay at villa as it was so chilled and good place to spend uninterrupted time with family. Well stocked with equipment. Hospitality and support from family was great and could not have done more for us

A wonderful litlle cottage and very friendly people. It is located in a nice area but be aware that you can hear now and then a car from the highway.

Une expérience très sympathique dans cette maisonnette avec joli jardin. Excellent accueil de Josip et sa famille qui nous ont particulièrement bien soignés. A real nice experience in this tiny house with a nice garden. Josip and his family were really welcoming and took very good care of us. Highly recommended.

Sehr herzlich. Vielen Dank für die erholsame Zeit.
