very nice house for company of friends ! good equipment of kitchen. the bed linen is given on hire. the bed linen of bad quality . the price, hiring illegally high (for such quality of bed linen)

Response from Alan:
Vera I am sorry the linen was not to your liking. If there was a problem I could have changed the linen. The price really only covers cost of washing, I am not making any money on linen hire.

I had an amazing stat at Alan's place! The house is very nice, and Alan is very flexible! We organized everything before my trip, and the whole trip went smoothly. The games room was very nice, and the garden was a delight!! Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to spend some time in Normandy, but a car is a must!

We stayed for 3 nights at Alan's place in Le Faulq. The house is situated in the lovely countryside in a peaceful area yet Honfleur, Trouville and Deauville are less than half an hour away by car. Before booking the contact with Alan was pleasant, clear and quick. On the day of arrival we were welcomed by a lady named Patricia who showed us the house. Patricia only speakes French. For us, a family of 3, the house was absolutely huge. Large sitting area, decent sized kitchen, huge dining table as well as a toilet and bathroom. On the ground floor there is one rather large bedroom with double bed. On the first floor there are 2 single beds and an extra room with a double bed with adjacent another bathroom and toilet. We found the facilities upstairs more modern and clean than the ones downstairs e.g. the bathroom upstairs is light and modern while downstairs is quite outdated. Next to the house is a separate games room. Great for kids. The garden is lovely and sunny. Great for having evening meals outside. All in all we had a lovely stay and because of the practical location managed to see a lot of the (coastal) area. The place is definitely good value for money but could be a little cleaner.

Alan was great to interact with. This was my first rental and I had a lot of questions. He was very patient and responsive. I was nervous as I was organizing a family gathering and wanted things to be perfect. The house was very nice and my family was pleased. The weather was a bit tricky but we still enjoyed the vicinity of Honfleur as well as Deauville and then enjoyed the game room and relaxing in the house. The house was very clean and well equipped. It can be a bit tricky to find and some of our family members circled a bit since we did not all arrive at the same time. Patricia, the lady who also takes care of the house, was very nice and helped the first of us to find it. Note that since this is in the countryside (therefore its beauty), cellphones do not all work there. We really had a great time.Thank you very much Alan (and Patricia).

Our family of five adults & one child from the USA had a wonderful stay in this rural French home. We arrived for the 70th anniversary of D-Day, and were charmed by the French culture and friendly people. Alan has been a great host, and went out of his way to help us have a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again!
