A large Victorian house with older furnishings. The downstairs rooms are large and comfortable and we especially enjoyed sitting around the table in the kitchen. There's one shower, in the downstairs bath, but four of us managed to share and enjoy the luxury of so much space at such a reasonable price. Being close to the highway made it easy to get to Providence and farther afield.

Quaint historic home. Older furnishings and carpet. Comfortable living room, and large kitchen and dining room. Very responsive host. Small issue with washing machine and she responded immediately and even came by the rental. Adjacent to a gas station so unfortunately there is noise throughout the day/night.

The place is old and noisy. It is not up to par with expectations.

The house was beautiful, spacious, and an awesome alternative to a hotel for our family. It was also very easy to access all of the areas in Rhode Island that we were going to. We would definitely stay here again!

The place and location was very convienent for our stay and spacious enough for the whole family. It's a quite interesting home and seems to also accommodate small children/ babies. It was also clean. We also had open communication with the hosts and felt taken care of, even with suggestions of things to do. Good stay.

We arrived early and were welcomed into the house. Tom and Michaela had many stories to share about the family home history and suggestions for meals and shopping. Friendly and welcoming, fully prepared, clean, and stocked home for all of us to share, perfect for our large group of 9 and room for more! This location is central to many sites, 4 minutes from the train to Boston, shopping in Providence, and visits to Cape Cod and Newport. If you enjoy a stay in a historical building with a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Potter-Collyer house is for you! We'll be back!

this was our first experience with airbnb and I think we were spoiled. The house, which we had all to ourselves, was exceptional. It is a classic victorian home, beautiful, warm, and exceptionally interesting. The photos do not do it justice. The rooms were large and comfortable, with the living areas especially nice. We did no cooking or the like but the kitchen is modernized. And it was very convenient to have the full size washer and dryer. And having the whole house to ourselves was a luxury, There were 3 of us but the house of course holds many more. The only downside with a larger group is that while there are two bathrooms, there is only one shower, the other having a bath. So a larger group may have to do some time planning. But for us, it was just perfect. The location was very good for us as it was relatively close to my sons house in Rohoboth. And it is right off 95 so easy to get too. Being so close to 95 and a gas station, one can expect some traffic noise though it did not bother us. Being able to stay in such a house more than offset the issue of any noise. It is also a very safe area of that part of town. Our host was delightful and very helpful and welcoming. She was also very responsive to our many questions prior to arrival and was kind enough to make sure we had filters for the all important coffee and very nicely left some treats for our arrival. Needless to say we very highly recommend the house and plan to stay there next year when we return to the area.
