It is loud in the morning but not unbearable. Plus the cafe next door makes wonderful food so I forgive them. Great location, clean, easy access, free parking.

We loved our stay at Amanda's. We found the cafe next door a big plus point and weren't bothered by noise at all. It's an ideal location for exploring the redwoods.

Had a fantastic time! This was our first time visiting the north coast. Previous to our trip we had never been past Bodega Bay. The apartment was perfect for our little family of three. It was cute, clean, and convenient. It's within walking distance of a few beaches and centrally located to tons of hiking and state parks within a short drive. We were pretty much out exploring from 8am in the morning until 9pm at night. Lots to do in the region if you like the outdoors. The food at the beachcomber cafe next door is amazing and we didn't hear any restaurant noise. The Lighthouse Cafe down the street is great for dinner and desert. They make their own ice cream in house and it's really really good. Trinidad is fantastic. We spent Labor Day weekend visiting the area and it was one of the most relaxing trips we've ever had. There were hardly any people around compared to visiting Tahoe or the San Francisco Bay Area. I can't say enough about what a great time we had. We hope to visit again next summer and do some paddle boarding out in the bay. :)

The location is great and in the middle of beautiful Trinidad. The noise is definitely there from the adjoining cafe which starts early but this we knew prior. The inside is tacky with a mishmash of second hand items, ugly paint, cheaply put together to create an airbnb. Also, it is stuffy as there are no windows that open except one in the bathroom and no views what so ever. This would all be fine for just a place to sleep, but at $110 a night it is overpriced, even for Trinidad.

The place was clean quiet and private. Description was accurate. Very comfortable lodging and felt like home. The disclaimer about the noise from the neighboring cafe was non existent I barely heard them at all and it was a busy weekend for Trinidad. Great place

This place had everything that we needed. We stayed 3 nights with our 4 year old son and it was very comfortable & accomodating. As others mentioned there is some noise from shared wall with cafe next door, but it's nothing crazy loud and we were gone all day anyways. Plus that cafe is really cool so I can't be mad at them. Thanks again Amanda, we loved your apartment!

Amanda User ProfileAmanda is a superhost.

I like to describe myself as a Humboldt County transplant with deep roots. My parents were born and raised in the area and I have a huge family that has lived in the area for generations. I grew up in CO and UT and moved to Eureka, CA with my mom in 1998. Trinidad has been my hometown for 15 + years. I met my partner, Carl, 8 years ago. We are both Humboldt State University graduates. I majored in Recreation and minored in Business with an emphasis on ecotourism. Needless to say, I work hard and play hard. I love gardening, making friends with medicinal plants and foraging for wild foods like mushrooms and seaweed. My newest passion is being a mama! Our baby boy, Jedryk was born in May.

I am the host of two different properties in Trinidad, CA: Popeye's Cottage in the Redwoods which is next door to my home and Fern Alley, an apartment in a building I am part owner of, located in downtown Trinidad.

I love to travel but I aways look forward to coming home. To me, Trinidad is paradise! I truly enjoy sharing my neck of the woods with people from all over the world!
