Fox Cottage is a grade-II listed terraced cottage built around 1750. It's been tastefully modernised, with contemporary furnishings and art throughout. With good central heating, an open fire and modern fittings, it has all the charm of a historic property with none of the damp!
The kitchen is self-catered, and includes tea and coffee (Bosch Tassimo espresso machine). The bathroom has a full-length bath and overhead rain-style shower. The living room is arranged around the open fire, with a 24-inch TV (Netflix and a Blu-ray DVD player).
The king bed has a quality, French-made mattress, with feather pillows and duvet. There's a sizable chest of drawers and wardrobe (both empty for your possessions).
The reading room is a little alcove where you can sit and read a good book in a comfortable armchair, or one of the bean bags, while looking out at the view. There's also a small desk if you're not able to leave your work at home.
The front garden is very long and private, extending down to the village pond and a small road. The garden is in a cottage style and organically managed to attract wildlife.
You'll have access to the whole house and garden. The kitchen includes all basic appliances except dishwasher and microwave. Cutlery, glassware, crockery and basic supplies such as salt, pepper, herbs, olive oil and flour are included.
Outside, there is a small table in the garden for dining alfresco, and two deckchairs for sunbathing. We have lots of herbs growing in the garden which you're welcome to pick for cooking, as well as strawberries and raspberries in season.
All bath towels, bed-linen and kitchen towels are included, as well as a hairdryer. If you're wondering if something specific is in the house, please just contact and we'll let you know if we have it.

- Suitable for a couple looking for a quiet break in a friendly, peaceful village.
- This cottage would welcome infants who are not yet crawling, if you bring a travel cot for the bedroom or reading room. There is no protection on the stairs, and the garden has small ponds and other dangers for toddlers/crawling infants.
