This is the newest room in my house available for guests. Once used as my husband's den and collection space. There are still a few wooden tools left and you will find various books on tools, woodworking, antiques and the town's history. Please feel free to look at them.
This is a small, cozy room and has cable TV. The private bathroom is one door away.
Since it is at the rear of the house it has a separate outside entrance right near the room.
I am convenient to Main Street, only three blocks away. A nice walk to see the town or to check out restaurants for dinner. It is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood, with deer wandering through now and then.
I am also three blocks from the Ferndale Cemetery, which is one of the favorite places to visit. It dates back to 1868, and is still in use.
You are welcome to enter through the front door, but can also access this part of the house through the gate into the back yard. There is an entrance right near this room at the rear of the house. Parking is also available near the gate.
Interaction with guests
I live on the premises, so I will be there to welcome my guests. I will be available to interact with them and share my knowledge of the history of our town
I love to visit with my guests, to learn about their hometown as well as hearing of their travels. Each of my guests are important and will be treated like family.
Other things to note
I have another guest room that is available to my visitors. There may be times when both of them are occupied, and you will be sharing breakfast with the other guests.
There are only a couple places to eat on Monday & Tuesday nights, so if you're booking for early in the week I suggest you eat before coming to Ferndale.
