Great check-in experience100% of recent guests gave this home’s check-in process a 5-star rating.

A delightful self contained studio on one level with large living space (sofa bed), brand new shower room and full kitchen, and a beautiful wood burning stove for chilly nights. Rose covered pergola outside with paved terrace. The building is in the large, lawned garden of the main house which is a 16th century Manor House. Animals are welcome and we have a dog, cats and horses too -and spare stables if you would like to bring an equine friend.

This is a super place to stay. It is a separate annex to the main house where the hosts live and it is surrounded by lawn grounds with trees. It is very private, no noise at all. There are large windows on two walls so the place is very bright. They have just installed super fas…

Friendly and welcoming hosts, very reasonable and willing to arrange flexible check in and out times when I had work commitments which meant arriving at odd hours. Respected my privacy but regularly checked in to see if I needed anything. Cosy place surrounded by beautiful countr…

Thanks Stella and I do hope you will come and stay again on your next night duty stint - or any other time you need a quiet, peaceful break. And we might get as far as a country walk with enthusiastic dog! Best regards, Judy

A great little studio with good amenities, its set in the garden with clever use of a pergola and vine to give some privacy. However, both the wifi and 4G signal are very weak.

Perfect location for a quiet stay with plenty to do in the surrounding area. Judy was great with communication and making us feel welcome...even asking what we would like for breakfast each day. Loved our stay...thanks, Judie!

My dog and I came over from Germany to spend a week in this lovely accommodation - and fell in love with it! It is exactly as you see it on the pictures: a small cozy place to relax and unwind, surrounded by beautiful landscape. Judy and Paul were perfect hosts: very, very friend…

Hi Annika and Phai, so sorry I missed your departure and I have written a formal review but can't see it on the site! It was lovely having you stay and Phai was really something but such a friendly dog although on first sight you could find him scary - but he was soft and kind and totally non aggressive and so glad you enjoyed your stay. Come again any time! Best regards, Judy

Lovely quiet studio and I agree with the great reviewd BUT bring your preferred method of fly-killing if staying during fly season as Judy and Paul seem to think they can do nothing about the 45 plus flies which were in the studio when we checked in.

Response from Judy:
As you are aware, we live in East Anglia and have been suffering from a drought and extremely high temperatures for 6-8 weeks now. This has led to a large influx of flies, wasps and other unwelcome insect life. All our neighbours are suffering the same affliction and it is very difficult to rid a house/studio surrounded by trees, grass and flowers of insect life. We have not experienced a summer drought like this for probably 20 years, and we do have visitors who are allergic to such things as chemical based fly sprays or even some cleaning products, as they are asthmatic! It is very hard to get this right as nobody can predict the weather. This is why we don't have fly spray on site. And we can't do aanything about hard water as that is also a fact of life here! And all the plumbing fittings are less than a year old!
