Was a beautiful inn. Host is very friendly and helpful and really seems to love sharing her place and the history of the Inn. Was extremely comfortable and very inviting!! The building may be older but sure has a lot of charm! Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Mary and her husband are bringing an historic inn back to life. The inn is and has been an integral part of Tryon. They are very much a part of the community and have plans to enrich it even more. Expect a great breakfast, unlimited effort on their parts to inform you about Tryon - both past and present, and a quiet beautiful porch with 3 cats (and a dog sometimes). Bring your own wine they have glasses ready.

Definitely stay here if you are coming to Tryon! Mary is a wonderful host who went out of her way to make me feel welcome while also providing lovely peace & quiet. The 100 year old building is beautiful and the rooms have everything you need including a fridge/freezer and coffee. Would recommend & stay here again.

This Inn is a jewel in the making. I highly recommend this Inn for any visit to the Landrum, Tryon area. The room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable bed. Mary's breakfast consisted of homemade bread, muffins, jams and fresh fruits. The Inn is centrally located to all your area venues. Kevin and Mary will do everything possible to make your stay convenient, and both are very knowledgeable of the area.

Mary and Kevin were excellent hosts. The restoration of the old Mimosa Inn is in excellent hands. It was awesome being able to hear and see the history of this 100 year old building. You will not be disappointed!!

This place is a diamond in the rough. The potential of this historic place has no limits. (They are currently renovating). Mary & Kevin were great hosts while Mary's dynamic personality & attention to detail were so appreciated. I would stay here again.

Mary is a great host, hard worker, and extremely personable. She assured that I was as comfortable as possible during my stay. In fact, she had breakfast ready for me at 5:45 AM because I needed to check out early. Mary's place is a historical building which she is converting to a BnB. It was very interesting to hear the story and see the enormous effort that she is putting in to restore a unique piece of history. Great value. Room was nice. I look forward to returning.

Mary User ProfileMary is a superhost.

It has been a lifelong dream to have a B&B/Inn. We hadn't planned quite this big of a project, but we are sooo happy to be bringing this iconic Inn back to life! In my down time (not that there is much of that these days) I like to spend with my rescue ponies, who I will be eventually driving and competing in Combined Driving competions. Other than that I love to read, hike, garden, bake......... and meet new people!
